im sure im not being biased here...but I strongly feel that the Nets will be in the Eastern Championship...and I'm sure they have the greatest chance of being championgs...the question is, who'll give them the greatest challenge?

If you mean ECF...then Pistons or Pacers I would think...But really...do you really want to see the Nets lose for the 3rd straight year in the finals? Bills=Nets thats what it is turning out to be..

Its good you have faith in your team..but lets face it...the west elite are going to cream whichever east team they face in the finals

sad but true... but if Zo and Mutombo stay healthy and get playing time they will be a tougher challenge for whatever West team they will face...

Not really...both past their prime..Mutombo is done...He won't give anything next season...Zo I don't think will produce either...It always a risk signing him because he could easily go down and miss alot of games..All the top 5 west teams have improved their rosters better than NJ....So really whoever Nets may face in the finals...the west team will beat them in a sweep or in 5

a sweep??i dont think so...the nets can win a couple of games...just like in last year's finals...zo will deliver...deke will give 5 quality mins. off the bench...kmart, r-jeff and the guys will mature...and kidd will produce as usual...the west is strong...no doubt about it...

You better believe it...Lakers have improved their roster with Malone and Payton...all the top west teams that could make the finals have alot more scoring options than the Nets...And Kidd was a failure in the finals v the Spurs..he got outplayed by Speedy Claxton..Only reason Nets won two games v the Spurs was because they both play alike.. Spurs didn't have that many scoring options and were so good because of a Duncan in that series..Spurs improved the scoring needs big time...I see Nets getting 1 game if they are lucky...

the Lakers???we still havent seen if they can jell well...they had problems with Shaq and Kobe alone...what more with the addition of Karl and Glove???

as with the other teams, i agree that they improved a lot...but with a healthy Zo and maturing guys in NJ, they improved a lot too...

and Speedy outplaying Kidd???i don't think so...as far as I know, Kidd did well when Speedy did well...it was in some guys when Parker played well when Kidd wasn't able to deliver...Speedy outplayed Parker...that's the fact...Speedy was a surprise in the finals...i doubt that he can do it again...

Lakers we don't know if they will gell..but it shouldn't be hard with Jackson as their coach....Adding Payton and Malone is enough to be considered a big improvement..two future hall of famers..Speedy did out play Kidd in game 6..and in game 5....but he didn't get enough court time most of the series...Nets added Mourning...but thats all...He may not produce much..he hasn't played for a good 2/3 years....And the other Nets won't improve that much..or not enough to beat the elite of the west

Zo has been in training during the season...he's in great shape...he's a fighter...he will deliver...

im not saying that talent alone will win them the championship...they will win 2 games because of their talent...and the other 2 games because of luck...[IMG]

i think that the nets will beat either the pistons or magic (i'm biased) in the ecf. then get swept in the finals.

I would love to say the Raptors...so I will! The Raptors will face the Nets for the ECF! ...or the Pacers...

You gotta believe it! Go Raptors! I did put up my "alternate" (read: actual) pick, but I'm sure you saw that. I can see the Pacers and Jersey squaring off. That said, I am holding on to hope futile as it might be that the home team is going to do something this year. (I know it says that I?m from Montreal but I grew-up in Toronto)
