Per team policy, terms of the deal are not disclosed. Apodaca (6’3”, 190, 1/7/80) appeared in 108 games with Hofstra University. He averaged 13.2 ppg., 3.3 rpg., 2.8 apg. and 1.16 stlpg. during his collegiate career. He led Hofstra in scoring during both his junior (2001-02) and senior (2002-03) seasons, and was named Second Team All-Colonial Athletic Association in 2001-02. Apodaca was a member of the Puerto Rican National Team that played in the FIBA Americas Olympic Qualifying Tournament and the FIBA World Basketball Championships. He will participate in the Magic’s training camp, which begins on Tuesday, September 30 at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. Orlando’s roster now stands at 15 players. </div>
How is it that these garbage Puerto Rican's keep getting signed, and Canada's Rowan Barrett can not even get an invitation to camp? What the f#%k!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Raindrops:</div><div class="quote_post">How is it that these garbage Puerto Rican's keep getting signed, and Canada's Rowan Barrett can not even get an invitation to camp? <div class="quote_poster">Quoting allnet:</div><div class="quote_post">Garbage? Canada would have qualified for sure if even 1/2 of these guys played. "Garbage", I say this because I guarantee u that Barrett can be can more effective than any of the Puerto Ricans in the NBA. Not even a camp invite? Its just not right.

Players like Johnson and Apodaca might not even make the roster..I'm guessing these guys are signed for training camp? If not......You will sign Shammond Williams and thats it....to make 16..and thats what you are allowed through a season..As Kemp,Burke and Oyedeji are free-agents who you won't bring back..
o, i thought that when they said signed, they will be signed for the whole season. hopefully we will cut one of them in order to get shammond and harvey.

I thought he was a lock for the season
I think the Magic are set at the point, they have Lue and Gaines. I am kind of puzzled though they needed a good PG and they got average PG's. PG is what killed them in the last three years, Chauncey "Bling Bling" Billups B. Diddy Sam I am Cassell
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Raindrops:</div><div class="quote_post">How is it that these garbage Puerto Rican's keep getting signed, and Canada's Rowan Barrett can not even get an invitation to camp? What the f#%k!</div> Another bitter person mad cause Puerto Rico whipped Canada. Rowan Barrett is older and he can't defend, rebound, or anything else besides score, which he might not against NBA forwards. Magloire, Fox, and English wouldn't have made much difference. Besides, all teams can say the same "we didn't have our best players" bull, not just Canada. For those who don't know Apodaca is actually Puerto Rico's third string shooting guard. Yes, third string behind Larry Ayuso, who just signed with the Spurs, and Eddie Casiano. I read an article on ESPN.com that was about the upcoming olympics and the teams that should make noise. Whenever this happens there is never any mention of Puerto Rico and that's why some of you guys don't give them the respect that they deserve. Whether you like it or not, Puerto Rico is among the top teams in the world. Not bad for an island with a population of just 3 million people.
how do you see apodaca fairing on the magic? you seem to have seen him play, is he more of a slasher or a jump shooter?
Apodaca <div class="quote_poster">Quoting sportsrock37:</div><div class="quote_post">how do you see apodaca fairing on the magic? you seem to have seen him play, is he more of a slasher or a jump shooter?</div> He's more of a jump shooter but not terribly consistent. He's athletic and that will help him but the question will be if he can create his own shot, as it will be the only way he can improve on his long distance shooting percentage. I don't know that he'll make their roster.
thanks for the updates, i like hearing about guys that i've never heard before(especially if they are on the magic)
