So what do you all think will happen with Nash next season (04-05) will he get a max contract from cuban. Will he settle for less and sign till Fins and Dirks contracts run out? Or will he go to another team? Personally I see him signing till FIns and DIrks contracts are out. What does everyone else think?

I think the Big 3(untill Nash and Fin retire) will stay in Dallas. I agree Cuban will keep Nash there untill both Dirk and Fins contract is over.

i agree also. nash should stay there, because he is a big part in their offense with his nice passes and his little running floater off the glass.

I dont think the Mavs have to cap space to offer the max. I hope he stays in Dallas or comes to Toronto which wont happen.

I think Nash will have an interest in playing for the Raptors, and they may put an offer on the table, as they have not had a solid point guard since Stoudamire.

Sorry Williams fans, he has not cut it IMO.

I don't see Nash going to toronto. Hes 29 years old and won't want to go to a team thats rebuilding (as much as I'd like to see him in toronto) I think he will stay in dallas for whatever money they offer him. Him and Dirk seem to have become best friends has evidenced by those drunk pics floating around the net. Who knows though. Perhaps he'll be traded this season.

They aren't going to trade him. He just barely a second-tier point point guard. Who could they get for him? They'll wait until just before the end of his prime and then trade him for some young potential.

Second tier point guard? hes top 5 point guard right now in my opinion. If they wanted to trade him they could get alot I think. But I agree they will not trade him.

All I'm saying is that they aren't going to be able to trade him for a pg of the same caliber.

They wouldn't be able to upgrade to a Kidd, and despite his potential they wouldn't want to settle for a Parker.

    That's all I'm saying.

Steve stay in Dallas in the my opinion. He is the great player. His value in this year will be bigger. Exel gone out and backup for the Nash is Best. This is not the same caliber. Nash plays only 33 minutes last season. Now, he wil play at least 38 and his stats will be better.

Nash is a smart guy and he sees that the situation in Dallas is a great one for him right now. I can see him staying there until he and the big German get old and the Mavs start re-building. At which point I hope that he comes to Toronto and takes ANY job with the Raptors that he wants. Head coach? Fine! GM? Go ahead! It's yours! That or head of Basketball Canada.
