<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bryant expects to play all season EL SEGUNDO ? Despite Kobe Bryant's ongoing legal situation shrouding most everything else, he plans to play all season and is recovering well from offseason surgeries to his right shoulder and right knee. Bryant told Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak last week to expect him to be a full participant when the first full-squad practice of the season is held on Oct. 3. "He did indicate he's not on the basketball court yet," Kupchak said Wednesday. "His shoulder seems to be 100 percent, and he's confident his knee is going to be fine. ... I think he's looking forward to the season. "We do know Kobe's going to be in training camp. And we do know he intends to play the whole year." Brian Shaw on Shaq "I haven't seen him in this good of shape in years," Shaw said. "He looks like he has that fire back in his eye again and is ready to go out and be the dominant force that he is and he has been."</div>Full Article here: http://www2.ocregister.com/ocrweb/ocr/arti...&month=9&day=25 At least from a health standpoint, Kobe and Shaq are in good shape and ready to go. :bigthumbu
Kobe should give his attorneys a bonus for that move. Don't be fooled, they told him to say that. It implies innocence.
Yup. Nice move by the attorneys. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Riot_Starter:</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe should give his attorneys a bonus for that move. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting LakerzRule KOBE8:</div><div class="quote_post">I hope he does. If Shaquille isnt at all healty we are going to need Kobe to help support this team.</div> Are you forgetting you have Karl Malone and Gary Payton? We saw last season Kobe isn't very good at leading the Lakers without Shaq but this year he has 2 very good veterans and future hall of famers. Kobe will still help but I think this season but the Lakers wont need him. Gary Payton and Karl Malone by themselves is at least guarenteed playoffs.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting tmac15:</div><div class="quote_post">Gary Payton and Karl Malone by themselves is at least guarenteed playoffs.</div> I would put money on that. This team without Shaq and Kobe would not make the playoffs, not even in the East. My opinion as usual, but I would put money on the line.

The only power forwards that can stop Malone are all in the west (possible exception of Mash), GP would eat up the easts pgs (with the exception of Kidd). We've watched guys like Tmac lead their teams to the playoffs for years with no help. If the Jazz can make the playoffs in the west with stockton and malone, then the lakers could make it in the east, with GP and Malone.
Mash? Are you talking about Jamal Mashburn? He's a small forward... and there's no way that he can stop Malone.
