Cartwright says he?d like to see an improvement from Rose on the defensive end of the floor. ?Defense is going to be our absolute focus as we start this year?s training camp. It?s going to be a simple thing. There are guys in this league who aren?t great defenders, but they?re great team defenders and I think that is what Jalen can become. He?s smart enough to do it and I think that there is no question we will be able to accomplish that this season.? </div> Personally I dont like Rose but I hope he has a good year. I think his scoring might decrease, but he has shown that he could pass and could be a point-forward like Pippen was. Since we won't depend on Rose as much for scoring, I expect his rebounding and assist numbers to go up, and who knows, he might expend more energy on defense since he won't need as much on offense.
He'll be alot of a better passer, as now he has more options to pass to, now that he has more to work with. Maybe Pip can get him to play defense. Rose may have been in the league long, but Pippen can teach him alot.

i don't like jalen too much either, and i think his numbers will go down with all the young players keep getting better and better.
