i think ricky was debating it in his head all offseason, he said he didnt have the strength to leave football, and said he wanted to play at least 1 more year then call it quits. i can understand that, but if he was thinking about it all year he should have informed the FO so they could like Dale said make adjustments and plan, give Minor and ?? more carries in minicamps, and maybe go after eddie george, or antwan smith, possible duce in FA. i think it was a decison that made him happy, and i love ricky and im glad hes happy  i think the way he handled it was disrespectful to his teamates and coaches, and fans. not to mention he was fortunate to have that talent, why waste it. God if your reading this, pass his wasted talent on to me

Keep in mind, Its strictly something bA's warped mind came up. Ogunleye to the Bears (who hve expressed some interesst in AO) to the Dolphins for Anthony Thomas and a 4th rounder.</div> That's actually what the rumor was... throw in David Terrell and you got it completely.
Ok hold the press... I'm going to take a shot in the dark here. Follow me fellas.... Ricky was due for another drug test and instead of failing his third test, getting another huge fine, and being suspended for the season, he retired. He's planning on getting whatever's in his system out, announcing that he's coming out of retirement in September and rejoining the Dolphins. He'll pass his mandatory drug test and avoid all the hassle.. sound possible?
Sf, ya never know but wasnt there a 3rd gunman in the grassy noll? lol As for keeper fantasy football leagues i feel bad for whoever protected ricky.
hey bucs i know its not just for the fans but this is a good day for the Jets at Ricky's expense because now the Dolphins are a much weaker team
All I have to say is I'm pissed I was not around this weekend to get in on the posts. I'm shocked and gald that this gives us another advantage in the division.
Onterrio Smith, eh? I would be surprised if we did that, but not too upset if we got a good player in return...say Adewale Ogunleye. The only question after this would be whether Bennet could stay healthy.
The news of Ricky retiring was overshadowed here by the brawl between A-Rod & V-Tek. I think Travis Minor will emerge as the starter. He's a good talent, similar to Barlow but nevertheless u might as well hand the division title to our Pats now.

Can you tell I'm gunning for Spielman's job? Lets hope; I can continue this lucky streak into our FFL.

Miami, however, has a decent defense.

This is really messing up my annual predictions. Luckily, I only just begun and should have the damage in 3 or 4 weeks.

I believe he had stopped and was taking Prozac when Miami traded two 1st rd pick for "Smokin" Ricky. He claimed at the time he felt the best he'd ever felt. I bet he did. But he went back to the pipe. I'm not so sure about him coming back in September though. It only takes 30 days to clear pot from your system ... so it's possible.

After all, No one loves a good conspiracy (theory or otherwise) than me. The timing of the announcement was the only thing that did not sit well w/ me. At this point, I really don't care. Some writer said that Ricky's selfishness condemened Miami to a 4-12 season and Wannstedt in the unemployment line. One of those, I can live with. Care to take a guess?

I wonder how the dolphins are goin to get out of this mess. I predict their record being 6-10. Sucks for dolphin fans.
Someone like Ricky could get the weed out of his system in 2- 3 weeks easily. It's us fatbodies that it takes a month to get rid of it. The more lean and or muscular you are the easier it is to rid your system of it. If he just drank a couple of gallons of Water a day for a couple weeks he'd be clean...it's the hair that you have to worry about but he shaved his head. Your hair samples, don't quote me on this, I believe can last up to 6 months.
