<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">TORONTO -- Antonio Davis doesn't sound like he wants to be with the Toronto Raptors anymore. Asked Thursday if he wants to stay, the center said: "I'm here." Davis faced the media for the first time since rumors surfaced that he asked for a trade. He said he didn't come flat out and ask to be dealt, but it sounds as if he'd prefer to be elsewhere. He criticized the team for not making enough moves to improve itself. "I took time to look over what transpired over the summer. I didn't go in there and tell them I think you should move me, but I also understand the nature of this business," Davis said. "When I look at our roster, I'm sure all of you have printed that I'm coming up on 35, and given my situation and my salary structure and all that, yeah, I have to wonder if this team is going to make moves and they haven't."</div> Full Story: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1629229
This is not going to help the Raptors at all, if they stayed healthy and played well together for the majority of the season, they are more than capable of making the playoffs. But before the season even started, a key player wants out. Vince is going to have stay healthy all season now if the Raptors are going to have a chance at the playoffs if the players are going to be like this.
This would be yet another stupid move by Glen Grunwald if he were to let AD go. Who cares if he doesn't want to stay here, the fact is he will play, and I know this because on and off hes been making comments like this for years with the Raptors. Theres no one on our team that can take his place, and there isn't a team that would trade anyone for him. We may as well keep him and get what we can out of him.
Ad is a bitch. Thats all he does. But if we dont trade him and we start the season with a good record everyone will forget about this and Ad will be pretty happy. I would trade him for a player like Dampier or Adonal Foyle. Here is a deal tht would be great Antonio Davis, Mo Pete for Mobley and Cato. Or another one Antonio, Mo for Dale Davis and Anderson.
i just agree with Franchise ... As long as Grunwald doesn't sign the peace of paper that would let AD free .... Davis will still be a raptor and will play as hard as he can..
