Hockey, Basketball playoffs, and March Madness is my only drug besides football. That's why the summer sucks.

Its the sport tht players get a jammed finger and are on the DL or they play for the money. They're in the sport cuz theyre scared of gettin hurt,

I would challenge you to stand in the box looking down a 97 MPH fastball that is coming at your ribs. Or better yet, stand on the pitcher's mound as the batter hits a comebacker right at your face, then tell me if baseball is a safe sport.

again, a unsmart post by you. Baseball players have to hit a moving ball, going 95MPH, while it twists and turns, to a spot were no fielder is, the pitcher has to use his mind to get inside the batters head. its a sport, and a physical sport, its also more of a mind sport than football. or hockey.

you said they play for the money, what athlete doesnt? their scared of getting hurt? thats why they play MM? nope they play because they are good at it, they go on the DL if its serious, and half the time you dont hear about unserious injuries. look at mike piazza, got beamed in the head by roger clemens 2 years ago, stayed in the game. pitchers go on the DLalot because their arms are more precious than anyother body part in any sport, thats what keeps them. they dont want to thorw their arms out, or tear their shoulder, after pitching, your elbow and shoulder kill, you can barely move it, trust me.

Its economics GF1, Barry Bonds brings in 100 million dollars, so they pay him 20 to bring them in more money. Why dont MLS players make alot of money? Because they dont bring in alot. The owners can spend it and still make money.

And receivers get paid to catch a ball. QB's get paid to throw a ball. RB's get paid to run with a ball. OL's get paid to block men.

All sports are trivial when you reduce them to the pure object of the game. When you factor in the awe-factor, such as a QB who can thread a needle, a reciever who makes spectacular catches, a pitcher who is unhittable or a hitter who can hit any pitch, no matter how difficult, then these people start to earn the millions of dollars.

Never complain about how much an athlete makes unless you are willing to stop buying the merchandise or watching the events completely. Its your patronidge that causes these players to make so much money.

The reason i can't stand Stickball, is because of the money situation. You want a World Series win, show me the money. You want a Super Bowl ring, best man wins. Stickball is bought. Football is played.
