Hey what about Nene and Drew Gooden both of them belong up here as well. both were on the All rookie team, just watch out for those two Nene - 14.5 ppg , 8.3 rpg, 1.3 apg Drew - 17.5 ppg, 10.7 rpg, .9 apg

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting lost_elephant:</div><div class="quote_post">are howard and gooden going to start together in the front court?</div> I don't see why not in the east, they rebound very well. Having a rangy T-Mac to help out on the boards helps too. I can't see not starting those 2, most teams have 2 PF's starting up front anyway.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting lost_elephant:</div><div class="quote_post">nene also has the versatility and athleticism to get you 2 blocks and 2 steals a game.... </div> hell yeah. hes a freak.
I only posted on the big 3: Amare Yao Caron Now my stats on: Nene:15.1ppg 8.5rpg 1.8spg 1.9bpg 54%fg Gooden:16ppg 8.9rpg 1.3bpg 47%fg

Have you guys seen Amare Stoudimire and and Drew Gooden, They are dominating, Drew Gooden had 29 points in 23 minutes against the Hornets. But, remember its just preseason.
Yea, I haven't really been paying attention to the preseason. I dunno, it's something about being forced to watch 2nd stringers going against 2nd stringers for a good part of the game that doesn't enthuse me. Anyways, back to the topic. Here are my thoughts. Yao Ming 17.3 ppg 8.1 rpg 2.7 blk 2.54 apg Caron Butler 21.1 ppg 6.3 rpg 3.1 apg 1.3 spg Amare Stoudemire 16.2 ppg 8.2 rpg 1.4 bpg 2.1 apg Yea, I'm just gonna stick to the original 3 people that this thread was initially about. So, yea, there are my predictions for you guys to take a look at.
Here goes Yao MIng 16.0pts- Has a shakey back to the basket post up game. Plus he has to recover from his injury. And I dont care how many times Van Gundy tells Francis and Mobley to stop shooting they wont its in there blood they cant change their games that easy. 9.0rebs- He is a good rebounder, plus with all the jump shots Francis, Mobley, Moohie, Eric P., will be taking he will have alot of offensive rebounds. 3.0apg(+)- (+) is because it may be more than that. He sees the floor well out of the post. And has alot of scorers around him and he will see alot of double teams against teams with extremely small big men(which is basically almost every team in the NBA) 2.0blks- he is 7+ feet tall he should get at least 2 per game. Amare 17.5pts- he a beast, but he has no real post up game, doesn't have that great big man jump shot like KG or Duncan. He will score most of his off of his power & athletic ability rather than pure basketball skills And that doesnt work all the time against the top western big men. 8.9rbs- He is a beast, I want to say he going to avg more boards but then I realize he plays in the west which is filled with beast. So he wont dominate the back boards every night. 1.5ast- plays with alot of one on one plays so they wont really use his play making skill from the post. Marbury, Matrix, penny, Joe johnson wont throw the ball in the post and stand around shoot jumpers. their going to have the ball in there hands and attack the basket. Hard for a big man to get assist like that. Caron 16.5pts- He wont avg in the 20ppg range this season but he will soon. This year he has to many adjustments to get use to. First he has to recover from an injury. He wont even be able to play at the start of the season. Then when he does come back he might not start right away. Wade, EJ, and Lamar will be use to playing with each other he has to find away to fit end without disrupting their chemistry. 6.0rebs- He extremely athletic and has good size for a wing player. Plus Heat are undersized there big man spots. They will need Caron & EJ to attack the boards alot. 3.5apg- He will play with alot of good scorers but they are all unselfish & good play makers (WADE,EJ,ODOM),this will lead to alot of ball movement and excellent assist opportunities. Drew 14.0pts- He scores alot of points because of his quickness for a big man but he is not really a power forward which he will play on the Magic. This will work in the small eastern Conference. But when the magic go west he will have a hard time scoring Plus he scores on put backs or he needs people to create shots for him, Mcgrady to busy creating for him self and the Magic dont have a point guard capable of creating for other. Who is going to create his scoring opportunities? 7.5rbs- Undersized for a 4,wont over dominate the boards. 1.0blks- One blk a game is a good #, he is athletic. 1.5ast- Besides Mcgrady and Juan Howard who is he going to pass to Nene his stat really dont matter Nuggets wont win 35 games 16pts- He playin with Miller and Melo should get alot of easy baskets. 7.9rbs-Plays in the west wont get much more than this. 1.0ast- Pass to Melo there goes his assist 1.0blk-Athletic :
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Henacy:</div><div class="quote_post">Here goes Yao MIng he has to recover from his injury. :</div> what injury?
I heard he got an injury while playing with China. But I see he is playing in the preseason so I must be wrong

But anyway Yao-16.8ppg, 9.7 rpg, 2.5 bpg Amare- 17.3ppg, 8.9 rpg, 1.4 bpg Caron- 18.2 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 3.8 apg
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Henacy:</div><div class="quote_post">I heard he got an injury while playing with China. Caron- 21 ppg 5 rbs 4 asst Yao- 17 ppg 9 rbs 3 asst Amare-19 ppg 8 rebs 5 asst + 1 Nasty dunk a night
