Miami may have an Edge next March. According to Fox Sports dot com, Edgerrin James, who will be an unrestricted FA after the season, has expressed an interest in coming home.

Sweet. A S Florida native & former Hurricane to the rescue.

I just hope Spielman does not monkey things up by signing or trading for some nimrod. Former Jaguar Stacy Mack would be my preference. Anthony Thomas a distant 2nd.

I am really curious to see if Travis Minor, L Henry, or former Bill Sammy Morris (recent FA signing) steps up to pull Miami's fat out of the fire - so to speak.

    BA,

I played the Rickyless doplphins last night in Madden and I must say I enjoyed breaking Minor in half everytime they attempted to hand the ball off. haha sorry I just had to rub it in a little.

But I'll bet Kevin Faulk (a Minor clone?) scored everytime he touched the ball against the phins D didn't he? Ha ha!!

No I delt dillon to my squad and he broke you know just a couple.

Personally I'd be pissed at the timing not the fact that he quit. He should have done it at least a week ago when george and Antowain were there as replacements but in all actuality he should have done it before the draft so the phins could plan accordingly and I think a certain Steven Jackson (another dred head) would probably be in Miami this season.

When I think about Miami I think about pride and prestige. Shula, No Name Defense, Marino, The Streak and stuff like that.

How can this football organization be in this situation that it is in, what the heck is going on?

Edge still has his prime ahead of him. He'd look good yet scary in a Dolphins uniform. But you have to be aware the Colts will probably Franchise him, because Marvin is older, and Peyton could probably work with any WR, Edge is a stud.

Thats going to be a tough call for the Colts as who to keep...Harrison or Edge and its all Peyton and his 34 million dollard bonuses fault.

I doubt the Colts will have the money to franchise James after what they paid Manning....i dont have the figures on hand, but Im sure the franchise number for RB's is prohibitive....I wish Ricky the best as well; the best diseases and turmoil he can get! Its total bullshit to quit 5 days before camp....the time to retire was before the 19th pick of the draft, when the Dolphins were on the clock and every single rookie back was unclaimed, if he had done that, I wouldnt have a problem...as it stands right now, I never want to see that fucker again...

Edge when he came in the league said he was going to play out his first contract and retire, he like ricky has always marched to the tune of a different drummer. So htye could replace one head case with another.

Oh and for patsy, I know i love playing the bears on madden and picking of brady pass after brady pass with mike brown [IMG]

Did Edge really say that? I rember Keyshaun said when he turned 30 that he would retire. Hes over 30 isn't he?

I'd take a healthy James over Harrison anyday. Edge has a whole career ahead of him, Harrison is in his prime now.

Ive heard a few names mentioned by the local press as replacement possibilities, 1st the free agents:

    Stacey Mack
    James Stewart
    Trung Candidate
    Terry Kirby

Then I heard they contacted the Colts about James, but the Colts said no, they called the Packers about Najeh "closet pooper" Davenport, they talked to the Vikings about Ontario Smith, they Bears and Anthony Thomas keep coming up and Im sure the Lions and Olandis Gary will enter into the mix before long....

BF1 you don't even want to know how bad your bears get dismantled. Urlacher is just a stepping stone to the secondary for Dillon.

I say make due w/ Stacy Mack and then draft one of Auburn RB's - Cadillac Williams or Ronnie Brown. Perhaps, Anthony Davis of Wisconsin.

They could draft (Purdue QB) Kyle Orton.

What about Konrad doing an Alstott like thing? Here is something out of left field move Jay F to RB. He's got the size & damn sure can't hack it @ QB.

Here is another way out idea. Along w/ moving Feidler to RB, move Corey Jenkins back to QB - he started out at S Carolina as a QB.

Desperate times call for desperate measures! Considering who the coach is, this is just wishful thinking on my part.
