My Opinion: This five would beat any five y'all can come up with Magic Jordan Kareem Doc McHale holla at yo boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I can beat that. Here is my five with reasons. Magic Johnson - Arguably one of the best players to ever play the game. He had amazing control and could play all five positions. His success record speaks for itself. Micheal Jordan - His team won 6 championships in 8 years(the two years they didnt win, he didnt play). He is the best player to ever play the game. Larry Bird - He might be the best shooter to ever play. He had amazing size and could pass the ball like no other. In my opinion he was the best big man passer to ever play. Kareen Abdul Jabbar - He has scored the most points in NBA history and has one of the best moves ever (Sky Hook). Him and Magic are like peanut butter and jelly. I think they might be the best tandem to ever play together. Bill Russell - Some people will be shocked that I did not put Wilt here but let me explain why. The four players above are more than capable of putting up enough points a game to win without needing another scorer. Russell is here because he is the best big man defender ever. This teams needed a big man defender who can own the paint and nobody could do that better than Russell. I think these five players would be able to beat the 5 you listed illslope.
Nice squad!!!! But McHale is my X factor....this cat was unstoppable in the post. As much as I dig Bird, Doc in his prime woulda killed Bird in his prime.
Here's my squad: PG - Magic Johnson SG - Michael Jordan SF - Larry Bird PF - Hakeem Olajuwon C - Shaq O'neal There doesn't seem to be much argument for the backcourt, but the frontcourt is where my team seperates itself from the rest of you. Hakeem Olajuwon and Shaq would not only beat you in the post, but would be extremely difficult to score on. Hakeem is one of the best shotblockers ever, and Shaq alters shots and clogs the middle. Bird is a must have because he would extend the defenses and kill a team trying to double down. Shaq and Hakeem are both great passers, and Hakeem's ability to shot the mid-range jumper would make my team unstoppable.
Possible backcourt.... Oscar and the Iceman...I know Ice doesn't D , but even though Magic is my favorite of all time, his d was suspect......... Holla
Well, I think I'm just gonna throw in mine here real quick like and throw in my reasons for each. PG: Magic Johnson - Like someone said earlier he is one of the best players ever. Stockton is good, but, I don't think he was the best to play this position. Magic was a better scorer, 2 time MVP, and, an important thing that you guys might look past, he knew how to win championships. That's something Stockton never figured out how to do in his 20 years. SG: Michael Jordan - Greatest player ever. 30 ppg career scoring average. 6 NBA titles. Multiple MVPs. I think that's enough said right there. SF: Larry Bird - One of the best shooters of any era. Great range, beautiful touch, and to top it all off, he was 6'9", which means he could also be an effective paint prescence. PF: David Robinson - One of the 50 greatest players of all time. He did it all in his career for the most part. He was an MVP, Rookie Of The Year, won 2 titles, just a great player. Plus, lefty, which, you know, could throw off defenders when he goes to his left, never know, and, he had a descent range for a 7footer. C: Shaquille O' Neal - Arguably the most dominant player to ever play the game and easily the most dominant player in the game today. He's so big and powerful, and, once he gets under the hoop, it's all but over. Not too mention, he's a great passer, he's pretty quick and has excellent footwork and low post moves for a 330 pounder. There, my team, my reasons. Argue if you want to. I'm interested to see what people say.
lets do the all dominant team G- Oscar Robertson/Magic (srry just couldnt decide) G- MJ SF-Oscar Robertson (both could prolly play either position) PF-Wilt C- Shaq

However, it is HARD leaving Dr.J off of this list. I believe he is the 4-6 Leading scorer in history if you combine the NBA/ABA. Having him and MJ running the floor and finish would be the most amazing thing to see ever.
