SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 11 (Ticker) -- Raja Bell made a game-winning shot as time expired to lead Utah to a 90-89 preseason victory over the Seattle SuperSonics on Saturday.

Utah now has a 2-0 preseason record, they are already surprising people, even if it is preseason. So far the younger guys have stepped up but they have to do it for a whole season to get a chance at the playoffs. Andrei Kirilenko played well, and in his last game he played really bad.

Funny thing is...That game winner by Bell was his only points of the game.

    Key for Winning

    unselfishness

the jazz have many similar talentend people..they better learn how to play together and avoid trying to be superman.

Defense keep the game score low...otherwise no chance

the sixth man in the court is essential, if they dont have a crowd presence and support the moral will go down..the player will think that the fans dont care so..they wont put that extra effort needed for a good season.

on the offensive side...they need to shoot better than 55% from mid range.. that is from 5 to 15 feet. they lack of a significant low post presence as well from a steady 3 point shooter...harpring is the most reliable and proven shooter but in a winning team you need at least three harpring like shooters

turnovers...the turnovers will be high this season so they better work on the transition defense

its a challenge to make the playoff this year but i believe they have a discipline and positive team...not the best talent of the league but they've been showing signs of heart...which at the end of the day thats what counts (see trailblazers for great talent and no heart)

Good post Dizicarus, but from close range, expect AK47 to take a few shots from there until he extends his shooting range to and past 15 feet with a good %. It's possible Utah take on salary cap for a low post scorer that a team wants to get rid of for cap reasons. An example is Rasheed Wallace, but there is no way he'd work in Utah under Sloan.

So far Utah has no individual star and is playing as a team. It's is working well so far, I just hope no one tries to take over as an individual star.
