Knicks forward Kurt Thomas will opt out of the final year of his contract if he has the same productive season as the past two, according to the New York Post http://www.nypost.com/sports/knicks/3741.htm
Whats up with these mediocre players wanting more money, and thinking they're going to get it? I wonder how much Kurt Thomas is expecting to get next season if he performs the ways he has last season.

They think they are worth more then they really are. Only a selected few players deserve a max contract, when in actuality it seems like every team has a maxed out player (or two)
kurt thomas is better than mediocre, IMO. he's a good solid pf/c in the east, i don't think he deserves a max contract or anything close to it, but i think he deserves around 5-6 million(considering other players paychecks)
