<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Half Man-Half Amazing:</div><div class="quote_post">I really wanna join .. but I don't alot about Virtual GM .. so could anyone pls explain it to me perfectly .. so I can join and win </div> Well, you have to pick 5 players and a coach. Each are worth certain points. There is a 100 point salary cap at which you have to stay under.I think there is more to it than just picking the team, you have to pick smartly. For ex.if your trying to chose between t-mac and kobe.Look at who they are going against and pick the one who is facing the worst d.try to pick at least 3 stars and a couple of bargain players or something to that nature. I hope that atleast gives you an idea. I know it's not perfect lol.
Here are the rules on how to play. The NBA Virtual GM game allows fans to build their own team of NBA players and compete against each other to win prizes based on their team's performance. Fans can compete over the course of the entire NBA regular season, which begins on October 28, 2003 and ends the week of April 14, 2004, or on a single-week basis during any given week during the regular season. CREATE OR JOIN A GROUP You have the option to group yourself with friends, co-workers, or completely random fans by joining or creating a group. Within each group, your entry will be automatically ranked. Most of the groups in the game are public and can be joined at any time. If you want to play with a specific group of people you know, create a private group and make it only accessible to those whom you have given the group password. The creator of a group sets the group's name, settings, motto, and password (only if private). Groups can have up to 50 members and you can move your entry from one group type to the next as long as your entry hasn't earned points. All of this is easily found on the Group Directory page. There is no prize awarded for being the top entrant in your group. See the Roster Moves section below for more information on group settings. POINTS ABOVE AVERAGE Each group is given a PAA (Points Above Average) value, which displays how above or below the group is compared to the average points a group in the game earns. Think of PAA in terms of what "par" is in golf. Each VGM entry -- that is currently in a group -- is used to determine an average game score by adding all VGM points and dividing that sum by the total number of entries. Once this value is determined on a per entry basis, each group member's PAA is added together to determine the group's PAA. This total is display on each group page, as well as in the Group Directory, which can be sorted by "Rank". There is no prize for the group with the highest PAA and it is only displayed to increase group against group competition. ROSTER MOVES / DAILY VS. WEEKLY CONTEST Participants can choose whether to participate in a group which locks rosters every week (Weekly Contest), or in a group that allows players to be added and dropped daily (Daily Contest). Prizes will be awarded to both the Weekly Contest and the Daily Contest Winners. Participants can select their particular Contest by joining an appropriate group from the Group Directory Page. Your Group Settings on your Group Page will indicate which type of group you are competing in. If you are not in a group you will participate in the Daily Contest. See Roster Management section below for more details. Important Game Note: Once your entry has earned stats under a particular Contest Type (Daily or Weekly) you can not join a group with a different type. FOLLOWING YOUR TEAM To enter, fill out the official game registration form online. After registering, you can participate in the game. A valid user name and password will be used as an identifier to log in to game play, and to keep track of your team's score. You will be able to see your team's score any time you return to the game by entering your user name and password. ROSTER COMPOSITION Teams are comprised of five (5) players: one (1) point guard, one (1) shooting guard, one (1) small forward, one (1) power forward and one (1) center. In addition, each team has an NBA head coach. Player positions are determined based on the official NBA team rosters; all players on current NBA rosters are available in the game. PLAYER RATING Players are rated using the following formula: the sum of a player's points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocked shots minus the sum of the player's missed field goals, missed free throws and turnovers: (PTS+REB+AST+STL+BLK) - ((FGA-FGM)+(FTA-FTM)+TO) For example, if a player shoots 5-of-10 from the field and 5-of-7 from the free-throw line and totals 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocked shots and 3 turnovers, his total points earned would be 20: (15 + 6 + 4 + 3 + 2) - ((10 - 5) + (7 - 5) + 3) = 20 At the start of the season, player ratings are estimated by their 2002-2003 per-game averages. Rookies are assigned a rating based on their draft position in the 2003 NBA Draft. During the season, player ratings are indexed according to all players' single game rating average over their last ten games. Coaches are ranked by their indexed season-to-date wins total. SCORING Your team accumulates points based on the total rating of your players, using the above formula, during the course of the week. In addition, your team will earn five points for each win recorded by your coach. And, any participant whose Sunday roster includes the NBA player who earns NBA Player of the Week honors shall earn an additional fifteen (15) points for that week. (Please Note: rosters lock for Sunday's games midnight Saturday). The team with the highest cumulative total each week wins a Weekly Prize. Most VGM weeks run Monday to Sunday. The game begins with the start of the NBA regular season, on October 28, 2003. The first weekly winner will be named on November 4 for the week of October 28 - November 3 and the last weekly winner will be named on April 14, 2004 for the week of April 5 - April 14. ROSTER MANAGEMENT You must assemble your roster within a team rating limit of 100. Teams that exceed the team rating limit or do not field a complete roster will receive no points. Once you have selected your team, you may change any or all players on a daily basis or carry over the same players from week to week. You can drop players from their roster and select new players, within the total rating limit of 100, to replace those dropped players. As players increase or decrease in value, you may drop players who do not "earn" their value and replace them by players who are "undervalued," that is, at a lower rating than their likely future performance would suggest. Teams choosing to change any or all players may do so on any day and there is no limit to the number of transactions you may make. For Daily Contest Players, all roster changes must be completed by 2:59 a.m. ET every day to be eligible for the upcoming day's games. Weekly Contest Players must make all roster changes by Sunday at 2:59 a.m. ET for the upcoming week. Special Exception for Week 1 where rosters will lock Monday, October 27th at 2:59 a.m. ET. Available players who are on their respective NBA team's injured or suspended lists will be marked as such.e rules on how to play.

Well first you gotta make sure they are all playing since it's a daily comp. If so I'd take Chris Webber out (injured). I'd also take Gary Payton out because he will be surrounded by talent and his numbers will take a fall. The rest are ok.
