Amare Stoudemire has been public about last season, saying that he was not healthy and was nagged by a foot injury. Coming into training camp, Amare said that he was 100%...is he ever! I see a Stoudemire that is running faster and exploding higher.

This is going to be scary season for opposing players that like to rome around the painted area. It will be like a landmine for opponents, step in the wrong area, and get destroyed.

Any comments/opinions on a healthy Amare Stoudemire?

    Yes

    WATCH OUT

Amare did a sick move last night against the Lakers...guarded by Malone..Amare did a drop step spin move on malone which made him look like a complete fool...and infact he embarassed Malone quite abit.....He is ripping it up so far in pre-season...averaging 18 points 7 rebounds with nearly 2 blocks per game on 50% shooting...

Amare v Ming is going to be fun to watch for years to come..

Amare is more of a beast and more athletic, but Yao has so much more skill and touch. He can shoot too.

    I'l lost with that comment.

Don't forget that it just wasn't the foot bothering Amare. He also had a condition in his left eye to the point where he couldn't really see out of the left side. He had laser surgery to fix that also.

He tore it up last year with injuries and he was the ROY with nobody even close to him... Now hes healthy. Hes gonna step up and be huge this year. And if he is gettin 18pts and 7 rebs a night and its preseason thats a good sign because in the season he'll get more p/t more p/t means more production

Without nobody close to him? I believe they gave that award to Amare because he helped beat out Yao's Rockets for the 8th seed when both teams had a silod supporting cast.

The award could have easily been given to Yao, but the gave it to the more deserving player. It was by no means a blowout.

Butler deserved a few votes as well.

Ya, I think it was really close too.

Amare is going to be a stud. He didn't get to work on his game over the summer because of sthe surgery so he will be a little rough around the edges early on I think. He has been working on his jumpshot and even hit a couple in the Laker game. He's just going to make a few more mistakes like getting into early foul trouble, especially with their Center problems forcing him to guard bigger post up guys like Shaq sometimes. Ouch.
