Education and development shouldn't be overlooked or looked down on. This guy could learn a lot by going to college. From the article Shapecity posted it's clear that he likes being in the spotlight but I doubt that he'd want the press associated with being an underachieving NBA rookie. He's small by NBA standards. It'll be fine once he develops but until then he's still a kid and in the NBA they play a man's game. He needs to grow-up a little. I?m sure that if he gives himself the opportunity to develop he?ll do just fine.

telfair cant go straight to the nba simply because he is not physically conditioned to go to the L.he has to learn to deal with the intensity,to deal with that a few years of collage is necessary.Lebron is physically able to cope,but if he is on the level of playing in the L it will be shortly revealed
Just like Dexter and cross said, hes not physically ready. Lebron was a special, and very rare case. He had the body of a man. I think Telfair needs to get college experience because the HS players are nothing compared to the NBA. The next best step for him would be at least a year of college ball. Working more on the fundamentals of the game will greatly help. But of course, money and fame will most likely make him select NBA. I just think it would be better if he got the basics under his belt before making the bolt.
He's too small to make the jump, i don't take anything away from Bassy but at 6'0 you gotta seriously consider the NCAA. Look at T.J. Ford, just as an example, Ford in high school was one of the most dominant PG around, his team lost 6 games his entire high school career. Now i'm not a huge Ford fan but think if he had of made the jump to the NBA, ONE - he woulda been WAY down on the draft list and TWO - would have gotten eaten alive. I think Telfair should seriously hit up the college league and get faster and make his shot the best it can be. Because coming into the league he's not gonna be able to just toss up every shot at 6'0.

Shawn Livingston went head up with Telfair and most say that he was the better player out there. Not only because he is 6"7 but because he has more polished fundamentals. He is bound to get a first round selection and if he doesnt I am sure Marbury (assuming that they are close) will do his best to get him a tryout somewhere else.

I've seen him play a bit, on the Rucker Park Entertainer's classic on NBA TV and ESPN2. He really didn't impressed me much, college is probably a good idea... Has anybody else had a good look at him? I mean, how does he compare to his cousin Marbury at the same age. Marbury was awesome at Georgia Tech....
He is very good. I have seen him 4 times, once in person. He is extremely quick, and plays like his cousin, Stephon. He has improved his long range shot alot. Great court vision but....he is on 6'0". He is one of those 2 guards in point guards bodies.
Yeah seen him play a couple times, when playing in H.S. doesn't always play with the passion that would be desired, but at the same stage has a better J that Steph, nice handles, I am sure he would get drafted pretty high if he went, but as STCBBall3 said not really a true point guard but the same was said of Steph that he didn't get his teammates involved so I don't know if that's much a problem.

I admit I was a little skeptical when they first hired him, but I'm a believer now.

Darius Washington Any news on Darius Washington (Orlando Edgewater)? Supposedly as good as Telfair (though I don't buy it). Was some talk of him going pro, but I don't think he's ready for that yet. Also talk of Memphis, will that happen?

I can't wait to see him play this year. I'm still mad I never got around to seeing Amare play. From what I heard though from a couple of friends who played him, he was lazy on the court. Really suprised me to see him do as well as he did with the Suns. He's incredible.
