I can agree with your list some what but I think the Kings will win more games during the regular season than the lakers. I know Chris Webber will be injured to start the season but the lakers have way to many distraction not concerning basketball. They say the kobe stuff wont be a distraction but when your losing and reporters are asking players stupid questions about kobe which have nothing to do with basketball some players might not be able to adjust and the lakers have to establish the role of 4 hall a fame go to players. Which brings up alot of questions. How will Karl Malone adjust to not getting 15 to 20 shots in the post? or how will gary payton react to not having the ball in his hands all the time? I mean on the lakers in the half court kobe is the playmaker, he acts as the point especially in clutch minutes. Another good question is in the triangle off. who are going to be the spot up shooters? I mean the guys that use to do this are either gone or their roles are limited. Robert Horry their best clutch shooter in past seasons is now a spur. Rick fox's role will be limited and Derek fisher is going to be a backup playing very few minutes because payton plays alot of minutes. Those three players were the lakers 3 best spot up shooters. Now when teams double shaq he has really no spot up shooters. Gary not a spot he is a scorer, he has a decent 3pt shot but he not use to standing around shooting the ball after dumping the ball in the post. Kobe not a spot up shooter even if he has a good mid range shot. And Karl Malone has to become a role player. I mean its not easy to go from option #1 to a player who is mostly used for rebounding and low post defense. Remember the role Horace Grant played on the 2000 champoinship Laker team. Thats kind of the role that Karl has to play. A rebounder who kind stretch opposing teams low post defense by knocking down that 10 to 15 foot jump shot. Karl will not get post up opportunity with shaq on the court at the same time. These are alot of adjustments to make on a team while dealing with off court distractions as big as the Kobe stuff.
Why do ya have memphis at 7???? 1Spurs 2TWolvs 3Mavs 4Rockets 5Grizzlies 6Jazz 7Nuggets 1Kings 2Lakers 3Suns 4Blazers 5Sonics 6Clippers 7Warriors
The Jazz will be far and away the worst team in the west with nothing but guys who are role players and defenders and without a point they cant get it done against anyone. The Nuggets and the Grizz will be very close If Camby is healthy and Melo the real deal (as it appears he is) then the nuggets will be on top otherwise if Big Jake can develop and Pau is a real star the Griz will have the upper hand. The rop four are almost set in stone. Whereas the other division the Lakers will be top if Kobe returns the Blazers & Clippers may fight out 4th spot with Seatlles lack of an inside game seeing them struggle and the Warriors well are the warriors if Dunleavy can step up they may contend for 4th but it is highly unlikely

The warriors have potential to be woeful they lost there potential in Arenas and Jamison and gained (very little) They could surprise though If Dunleavy fires and Murphy continues his rise, Van Excel comes ready to play, J Rich learns to play some D and the Group of Dampier Robinson and Foyle give some production but if they dont start well look for movement of Veterans like Van Excel and Robinson for some talent and Size
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rudeezy:</div><div class="quote_post"> Until the Grizzlies prove otherwise, they will remain at the bottom.</div> Yeah really. The Griz don't have anyone that is better then what the Jazz have, IMO. I don't think the jazz are that bad. Matt Harpring and Andrei Kirilenko are solid players.

He is irreplacable. However, if Nick Van Exel and Speedy can both stay happy and play bball, we'll be just fine. I am looking for Dunleavy to step up, that is key also. I felt it was a good move to get rid of Jamison, yea, call me crazy.
