I say, yes. Although he'll get bashed everywhere he goes. But with Malone finally on the Lakers (basically to get a ring), I don't think they'll have much of a chance without Kobe.

Of course, but only when he is ready and healthy. I too feel we just can't quite win the title without Kobe. The Spurs and Wolves are too strong unless we have KB8.

I agree with you. He needs to take his time and get back into shape before he even considers playing. There should be no rush, his team will just try to maintain things and he'll just have to be mentally prepared for everything. The west is too strong for the Lakers to be without Kobe.

Yes, of coarse he should play...assuming he is found innocent and/or the charges are dropped. He is too valuable to the Lakers, too valuable to the Leauge.

but remember how jason kidd was treated in boston for his whole wife beater thing that happened a few years ago? just imagine if kobe played. jason's bashing is so minimual compared to that. i hope that if he does play that the fans don't do anything stupid.

I would rather see Kobe wait until he is fully ready to play at the level we expect of him, before he comes back. Right now, I think he has just oo many distractions to concentrate on the game of basketball. i think it would be best for everyone for him to wait till he is ready instead of rushing to come back.

He is a professional athlete who gets paid millions of dollars for playing basketball. So he goes off and rapes a girl and gets caught thus not allowing him to workout at all. He shows no remorse and you guys want to let him sit around for a month to let him "get back in shape"? He gets paid for playing basketball and his off the court problems shouldn't tie into that. If he isn't in shape then that's just tough luck. Especially if the reason he is not in shape is because he raped a girl.

The best way for Kobe to accomplish any of that is to be on the basketball court.

Like Wave said, he is getting paid millions of dollars, sack it up and play.
