With the signing of LaFrentz and the hopeful return for Celtics fans of a rejuvenated Baker Battie would be somewhat unrequired comodity that would have some value as a shot blocker and rebounder on the open market. Teams like Milwaukee could really do with some help inside.

The Celts should just sign a decent backup big man. Jason Caffey is on the market, he can play limited center out East. They shouldn't sign a project, but get a decent seasoned player. The Celts lose in the above deal IMO.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting twolvefan11:</div><div class="quote_post">B Did this trade in like 2 seconds, tell me what you think of it.</div> The Celtics wouldn't be looking for another Center in return, and they also have no need for Haislip. They have Eric Williams and Kendrick Brown at Small Forward. The Celtics would get the best results by starting Battie at Power Forward, but while we are making up trades, how's this - Battie and McCarty for Laettner and 2nd rounder?

I don't understand why they would want to trade Battie to begin with, he can now play PF his natural position.
That would give the Raps a nice front court with Battie Davis and Bosh and Williams would suit bostons husling defense but do they want to take another overpayed contract.??
