Jarvis hayes.. At worst he'll be a first team all rookie! <img src=" http://media.theinsiders.com/Media/College..._jarvis_msu.JPG"> He has the best jumper I've seen in a while (for someone other than just a shooter) and has amazing athleticism. If you dont believe me ask the hawks.. He reminds me of a mini-Stackhouse who actually plays defense.
grizzoistight, did you not get my PM about putting a better title on your threads? Help make it a little easier for people to navigate the forums. Come on, help us out.
Yea I really like Hayes as someone who can really make an impact their rookie year. He has size, shooting ability, and has some good athletic ability.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting grizzoistight:</div><div class="quote_post">I fixed it bro!!</div> No you didn't, you just changed the subject, but I'll change it for you...
I think that you need to stop praising these SEC players, Grizzo. The past two years you've said nothing good about a Big Ten player. It's always about the SEC players with you. Whether it's Jarvis Hayes, Rod Grizzard, or Marquise Daniels you have to talk about them. I am not saying that is wrong, but you shouldn't overrate them. You said that Hayes will be a First-Team rookie at worst. Were you joking? LeBron James, Terrance Ford, Kirk Hinrich, Luke Ridnour, and Dwyane Wade are all way ahead of this guy right now in my opinion.
Hang on did u say Luke Ridnour?? The same guy who can play abs. no DEFENSE.. the same guy who couldnt bench press 175 one time.. yea he can shoot the lights out, but right now ronald murray and antonio daniels are ahead of him..Lebron and melo are locks for the first team, but what makes u think wade is ahead of jarvis?? The wizards dont have as many scorers as the heat.. and jarvis can fill in fine, btw im not an sec homer.. i like all conf. I was just pointing those guys out,
Yea, Jarvis tore it up last night. But, he won't be first team rookie. He won't be 2nd team either. Why, cause he's not gonna get much playing time. Juan Dixon will get it before him.

Dixon is probably the 5th option to run the point, because Arenas, Blake, Whitney, and Hughes can all do a much better job running the point. Dixon will see limited time at SG. I predicted in a couple of threads about a month ago that Hayes would be starting by December. I can't say he will be a 1st team All Rookie, but if he keeps up his improvement he could be a starter opening night. Plus, with Stackhouse out indefinetly with a knee injury its almost a given.
Hayes is def. going to start in the beg. of the year with stack bein out, its just up to jordan if he thinks he can play arenas and hughes together, if not jarvis will start over jefferies!!
i think he can be an allstar in this league in a couple of years...i get the luck of watching him every game
I watched Luke play and He wont be on the First Team. Jarvis Hayes is my Secound Favirote rookie out of the draft.

I was just pointing those guys out,</div> I think that guy is actually Nick Collison and not Ridnour. The Oregon Ducks have some of the best trainers and top training facilities for any college. Of course it helps when Phil Knight, CEO of Nike, is an alumni and donates millions of dollars to their sports programs. Collison was the pathetic big man who could not lift the weight. Any person, especially an athlete should be able to max out their own weight. As for Jarvis Hayes, I thought he was a steal for the Wizards. He can flat out shoot the ball and score consistently. He will be a much needed outside shooter for them and should be able to open the lane up for Arenas and Stackhouse. His defense is a plus, and he should be able to produce right away for the Wizards.
Man i watched the nba draft.. and they said it about luke, that he was ext weak. its late tonight but ill look it up tomorrow..
I think all you people are neglecting the fact that this is preseason. That's why he's getting playing time in the amounts he is. That's why he's scoring that much. He's also going against players that are at his...shall I say...skill level. He's not being guarded by first team defenders yet. So, really, we don't know if Jarvis is truly capable is doing this. So, until he plays in the season, we won't truly know if he's really for real right now.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting grizzoistight:</div><div class="quote_post">Man i watched the nba draft.. and they said it about luke, that he was ext weak. its late tonight but ill look it up tomorrow..</div> And he'll bulk up in an NBA system, but he was drafted for his special ability to run an offense, and his excellent shooting. 12 pts and 12 assists today in 23 minutes shows what he can do, even though it is only pre-season.
I just came back from the Cavs/Wiz preseason game, and though the Wizards had matchup problems with the Cavs, Hayes was a player I was impressed with. He ran the floor very well and finished every time. I believe he will do well, but I would not go as far to put him on the first team yet.
