Let's start off with Byron Leftwich. Last year taking the starting job from veteran Mark Brunell was'nt so hard to do. But this year can he prove to his coaches that he is no fluke? I say yes. He's going to show Jax a "Certain shade of Green" towards the BIG GAME. Meanwhile Tommy Maddox will be looking for the bench to warm up for Rookie sensation Ben Roethlisberger. Will Roethlisberger take this team into January? Maddox throw in the towel you were a fluke. And can Duce take the spotlight away from Bettis? We'll see. Also with Eddie heading to the backfield for the, #8 coach of ESPN's 25 top coaches, will he be a prime factor for this O? And will he average more then 3.2 yds a carry? Come on Eddie. Can the Jets D slow down the run game this year now with Rookie Vilma? How about the Saints. One of the most unpredictable teams in the NFL. Can they find their calling? Haslett working on Discipline and Mental strength might be the answer. And how does it look for the Phins now that star RB Ricky Williams decided to travel for the year? Trave Ricky Travel (cough cough). And what to expect from Corey Dillon? Running? Recieving? Blocking? who knows what Belichick has in store. And will Jevon and TO finally help bring the Eagles over the NFC Championship slump? I say NO. THOUGHTS?
1-Byrons for real 2-Maddox will start the season, but wont finish 3-Steelers arent playoffs yet 4-Duce is done if he gets alot of carries, hes better with less carries so he stays fresh 5-Eddie is good for his 3.5 6-Vilma is a player 7-Dolphins-average team 8-Hasslett gets the boot 9-Dillon will do ok, not pro bowl numbers but 800+ yards 10-Eagles to the SB, McNabb MVP and Jevon 15sacks, TO 80REC 15 TDs. book it
1. Byron - He'll be good, but will make quite a few mistakes. He'll show his potential. Jax is not the best place to develop. 2. Maddox - I wouldn't trust him, but putting a rookie in at QB is not my idea of good planning. If the Steelers are out of playoff contention early on, look for Maddox to take the bench. 3. Steelers are probably 1-2 years away from the playoffs again. 4. Bettis is done. He was a great back, but just doesn't have it anymore. 5. Eddie will be a factor. He's going to have a good, productive, solid year, as long as he stays healthy. 6. Vilma will make a difference, but they need more help. 7. Saints will once again be a good team, but do not put it together. 8. Dolphins will tailspin. Controversy around the coach will serve as a distraction for the year and the players will play with a hole in the backfield. 9. Corey Dillon will have a good year, although his carries will be limited. 10. TO and Kearse will not bring Philly to the SB. Rather, it will be a dissappointing year for the Eagles leaving questions as to why these players were brought in.
