i saw ESPN football is going down to 20$, and madden is still at 50 so will the 30$ difference change any1;s mind? or will they stick to madden.

im stayin with madden regardless of TO on the cover.

I bought ESPN when it came out. It's pretty cool. I will, of course, still buy Madden. It was worth $20 to me to have a new football game a month earlier. I read that Sega is going to sell all this year's sports titles at $20 a pop. I may actually try their baseball game out. The player progression is totally different on 2K5. You schedule team meetings, film watching, position drills, 7-on-7's, and full scrimmages. Your players go up or down based on the decisions you make there each week. You can give a day off (or half a day off). The two broad attributes that this affects are morale and focus. I haven't played with it enough yet to determine what works best, but I have squeezed a little extra out of my laskluster defense. I played the opening game vs. Denver on "rookie" and won 105-0. I upped it to "pro" and played Carolina in week 2 and won 24-7. (It was 7-7 going into the 4th quarter though). I'll report on the post season activities when I get to them. I will probably auto skip to them this weekend to try them out and then start my franchise over so my stats won't be so skewed by that 105 drumming of the Broncos!

Tell ya im a madden fan always have been but i played 2k5 and i have to say the graphics whoops the ass of madden. The jolly roger at in raymond james stadium is unreal. Ford field in detroit looks exactly like it does in real life. I gave this game a try and i was impressed with it.

2 weeks ago no one said they would buy 2k5 over madden even with the price break, now Im hearing good things about it....that price is fantastic though, I might have to look into it and see if its worth it....Its a struggle for me to raise the cash for Madden every year, perhaps this will be the 1st year I dont have too....

I'm still going madden. I'm sure the gameplay is ten times better though I might check out espn just to get a game.

ESPN..... its faster and its more challenging and realistic... with madden u can do the same 3 of 4 plays and win by 40...... its just not realistic when ur scoring like 38 - 7 on all madden..... while i have 2K3 and i win like 28 23 and stuff

I LIKE THEM BOTH!!!!!!!!!!!! but i like ESPN better

    THERE I SAID IT

dont get so sensitive i was just kidding - why is satellite radio so gay- if you ever took a trip and went across country you would be able to hear the eagles get their asses kicked by the cowboys. every play of every quarter. anyway i was just makeing a joke to show you how everyting one way or the other is adverstising.

For the record, Dawk is not advertising he is talking to a close group of people asking there opinons on both madden and espn's football. Lets try not to stir up anything, this is a harmless post with everyone's opinons. We all are entitled to our own opinons.

If some havent tried out eithier football games, rent them out i think both have there own benifits. The graphics on espn will be hard to beat. imo. Tho madden isnt out yet im sure it will be more improved as well.

Yo dawk, if you get a chance to play 2k5 try out tampa bay in raymond james or detroit at ford field wow. Both places look identical to the real deal.
