What would you take over a 12 year period. 12 playoff appearances, No Super Bowl wins, 1Super Bowl win, 11 non-playoff years Id honestlytake 1 SB win considering i never seen a championship in my life. thoughts.
12 playoffs..... for the simple fact of u not knowing whats next..... what if they won the SB year 1 than thats 11 straight years of missing the playoffs
I'd rather the super bowl, if they make playoffs and lose it is crushing, if they miss playoffs there is always next year.
It would not be a huge surprise if NE does not win another super bowl for 25 years, 50 years or 75 years. So do not get to cocky, but enjoy it while you can. I know i wish MJ was still winning titles for my bulls(next year will be thier year).
I'd take the 12 Division Titles and no Super Bowl wins over 1 Super Bowl win, simply because it would be more fun to root every year, be dissapointed, then be drawn back during free agency. With 11 bad seasons, it could possibly cause me to convert to another team, or just retire as a fan.
I am a fan for life. There is no amount of losing going to turn me around(cubs fan, blackhawks fan, bulls fan(still)) The only thing that would turn me off is a strike or lockout. I hate stupid fights ofver a 100 billion dollars.

As a fan, I'd rather see the 12 straight playoff appearances. The Superbowl is the ultimate goal, of course, and that's what you want as a player and a fan...but watching your team suck and miss the playoffs year after year would just be too painful over a 12 year stretch. Give me the playoffs.

As for 25,50,75 years..you abosolutely right it could be that long before I see another one but it could also be this season or the next, but all that matters to me Is I experienced 1 super bowl first hand and that no matter what, even if we win 10 in a row,nothing will be a greater experience than that. Eveything from this point on is a bonus to me.

BB should have sent Dave a fruit basket, something. Had Wanny pulled his head out & Miami split w/ NE then Miami would have made the playoffs and who knows what might have happened. I do; The Colts would have cleaned the Hoosier dome carpet w/ DW's mustache & Ricky's dreads.
