From NBA insider <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There is also talk that the Suns and Celtics are trying to swing a deal that would send Tony Battie to Phoenix for Brevin Knight. The Suns have been looking for a starting center since shipping Jake Tsakalidis off to Memphis. Because Knight is in the last year of his contract, the deal would give the Celtics and additional $4.8 million in cap room next season. While that's not enough for Boston to go and get a top-flight free agent, it would give them plenty of flexibility to sign a free agent with their mid-level exception next season. </div> Helps both teams in different ways..helps Suns get a center..and it could help the Celtics land a good FA next summer.
Battie would give the Suns even more length and athleticism Battie, Stoemire,Marion,Johnson,Marbury. Whilst Brevin would be an ideal fit to teach rookie Banks the NBA way. This deal will depend upon the play of LaFrentz and Baker if they start impressive look for Battie to move.
i would love battie because i want barbosa to play and brevin knight would take all the back up pg duties.
It would be a Great trade for Phoenix  but it would help the Celtics too! Battie showed that he can play if he wants in Boston's play-off run in 2001/02! and Brevin would finnaly get some minutes,Im not sure about starting but still he would get more minutes than he would have in Phx+Barbosa will get more minutes as mentioned before.
Seriously underrated is the job Battie does, plays the role Ervin did in Milwaukee and doesn't get much credit. Would be a really smart deal for the Suns, and only for Boston cos of the salary factor.
