<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I definitely don't need advice on how to play my game."

    Not even advice from O'Neal?

"Definitely not," Bryant continued. "I know how to play my guard spot. He can worry about the low post, and I'll worry about the [perimeter]."
    </div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">As we start this new season, we want [expletive] done right," Shaq said. "If you don't like it, then you can opt out next year. As long as it's my team, then I'll voice my opinion. If you don't like it, then opt out."
    </div>

shaq is tearing the team apart, and this is not what we need, he needs to settle his problems with bryant personally, not make it nationally known.

well he has some valid points...Kobe doesn't need to take bad shots...there are 3 other All-Stars in the team...but as usual, Shaq is way talkative again...hehehe...maybe he's just trying to divert the attention to him? i dunno...

but i do agree that the Lakers is his team...

    Shaq is an idiot..
Kobe doesnt take that many bad shots, he also averages a ton of assits.. and prob would be a lot more if the lakers had guys who could hit an open shot..
Hopefully kobe will leave and the lakers will fold like a cheap suit

Shaq needs to be careful or he could screw up team chemistry. He could have been kidding, because he runs his mouth a lot. It might actually catch up with him. Kobe and Shaq have had their share of issues.

Kobe should know what he still needs to work on in his game. He's still very much out of shape and Shaq should be able to relate.

Everything will be fine. Shaq definately has a point...Kobe's obviously stressed about certain things in his life, which is probably why I "lashed" out back at Shaq. But as long as Phil Jackson is around...along with guys like GP...everything will be alright.

Besides, what happend the last time there was a "feud?" Lakers went 15-1 in the playoffs...

Look at you Laker fans.. LOL. Pathetic. This is exactly what other fans and the media want: to rip apart the Lakers. I bet half of this isn't even valid. I have heard other reports saying Kobe&Shaq were in Las Vegas Saturday, watching some races together.

They have worked their "fued" out in the past, so I think they will work through their struggles this season too.

I'm not worried too much. They just need to shut up and play ball!

And guess what buddy? On the radio, they said today @ practice Shaq was smiling and talking etc.

If Kobe really didn't like it, I think he would either demand a trade or opt out at the end of the season.

that was shaq smiling...not kobe...shaq is always smilinge when he messes around...he ws smiling in the interview, i think he jsut wants attention and i think he mite ruin their chances at a title, i think gp or karl need to step up and tell him to calm the talking down(personally, not to the media)

Yea i just want to know how many championships shaq won without kobe.. ( Hes had his chances..unlike kobe)
Shaq hasnt won anything until kobe developed into a first team all nba player.. they need each other to win, so shaq needs to shut up.. I mean if u watched that second preseason game k8 gave shaq the ball a ton down low.. so i have no idea what shaq was talking about, i think he was upset that kobe outscored him last year

What Shaq said is completly right...It is also his team..Lakers can win without Kobe but have no chance without the big fella inside....Shaq led the Lakers to the 3 straight titles...Kobe took Shaq's comments personal..when all Shaq was saying is he wants kobe to look for his team-mates more while he trys to get in better game shape and the fact his shot may be off right now....

^^And that post is the classic line of a Kobe/Laker hater.

"The Lakers can win w/out Kobe, but without Shaq, it's over!"

Riiiiiiight..cept for the fact that Shaq never won before Kobe became a great player. Who does the offense go through? Shaq. But who makes all the clutch buckets and big plays? Kobe.

Shaq has never won without Kobe; Kobe without Shaq.

Nope it's the truth...Without Kobe... lakers can still win the title..without Shaq they can't...no hating in my statement...any other fan can tell you the same

I'm not hater...I like Kobe....and I hate Shaq...so don't give me that "hater" rubbish...which is something you always bring up..very childish...but I should expect that from you..

i agree...the Lakers can win without Kobe...Shaq is their man...dya really think Kobe will get all those open lanes to the basket without the big guy? i don't think so...Kobe will be like Tmac scoring 30+ points and not winning the ring...

we've all been saying it all over the boards...no one can stop Shaq...Kobe can be stopped...personally, i'd prefer Shaq over Kobe on my team...

Kobe needs to grow up...Shaq is a leader...he'll tell you if you're doing something wrong...some young guys will do everything to work with a veteran who can criticize them...and if they really are mature players...take those criticisms and do your darn best to prove him wrong...we all know Shaq has a big mouth...but the big fella sometimes make sense...Kobe needs to realize that he's not perfect...that's why there is a preseason...so you can work out your current weaknesses...and knowing that Kobe haven't trained in a while, he should listen...

Breaking News: kobe fires back, just reported on ESPN
"It may be his team, it doesnt matter, no one cares"
"If it is his team, last year he wouldnt of shown up to camp Fat and out of shape, he wouldnt of blamed everyone else for their failure in the post-season"
"IF he is the leader, if wouldnt beg for a contract extension"
"I probably wont play tomorrow night because my knee isnt fully healed, but i wont miss 15 games for a toe injury that everyone knows isnt that serious"
"If i do leave, shaq's child like attitude is the reason, if he was my so called big brother, he would of called me over the summer when i had my problems, i got calls from devean(george) slava, rick, chris webber, MJ, even shaq's uncle, but not a single call from shaq"

wow kobe has had it with shaq...

"since it's your team no more coming to camp out of shape."

"Leaders don't beg for a contract extension through the media."

Are you ready to play? "My knee is not strong enough to play yet and I know it."

"I will not play until I'm ready, probably won't play tomorrow night."

"If leaving the Lakers is what I do a large part of that will be because of Shaq's child like jealousy."

"I haven't heard anything (words of support) at all from my big brother (Shaq)."

I asked Phil to step in and say something to Shaq on my behalf but he didn't do it."

"I asked Mitch and Phil to try to calm the situation"

"Shaq's not my big brother. I talked to everyone from the Lakers, players, managment, coaches, ownership and they all lent me their support during the offseason. Even opponents like Maggette and Webber, Tiger Woods and MJ who didn't even have my home number. But not Shaq"

    The meltdown starting early?
