Well it's been since I first arrived in Toronto after the Draft that you guys have heard from me, so I guess I'll start here with my arrival for training camp in late September.

When I first came in, it was kind of a nervous feeling from seeing all of these guys playing in the NBA. It was only the four-years-and-under guys, but still it was real competitive and a good experience.

It was real tough cause we only had eight guys. We were going at 4-on-4 drills for three hours at a time, two times a day. It helped though, we got to learn the offence early. Plus it was a chance for us to improve our conditioning. I needed to get back in game shape and it helped a lot.

Once all the veterans arrived at camp it got easier because we added seven more guys. We had a little bit more time to catch our breath between drills.

There's a few differences between playing in college and the NBA. The fans treat you great here, but there's a lot of attention. I even like talking with the media, they're really at ease and you get to know them personally so it's pretty cool. It comes with the territory.
I've got my living arrangements under control. I never had to live in a hotel, I was fortunate enough to find a place. My mother came down about a week before camp with me and found me a nice place and even helped me funrinish it! I've told my mom thank you so many times, she's the best.

I've been mainly focused on basketball, but from time-to-time I do get my chance to go out, see the city and check out the nightlife. I try to keep myself socially healthy because when I was in college I didn't go out much and I kind of regret it. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just having fun and everyone needs that sometimes.

People recognize me a lot more than they did a year ago. I still feel like I'm a normal person. That's the most important thing to me. Nobody likes an arrogant guy. Not even four years ago when I was trying to make a varsity squad in high school so I still remember how it was back then.

I'm sure I'm going to struggle this season, being a rookie in this league, but I'm not going to get down. I'm still going to be the same person.

Getting back to the court, what has maybe surprised me most so far with our team is Alvin Williams. He has so many things he can do. He can shoot the ball very well and if you didn't pay close attention to the game you wouldn't know that. I thought he just liked to distribute the ball and drive, but he's a very good all-around point guard.

Now that I think about it I have to give some other guys some props too. Three guys have really helped me out so far this season, Vince, Antonio Davis and JYD.

With Vince he's made it real easy to fit in. We goof around a lot and he just makes me feel comfortable around here.

Antonio is always giving me tips on how to approach playing and pointers on what other big guys are going to do.

JYD he shows how everything goes around here. He hasn't taught me how to bark yet though!

Thanks a lot for reading my diary guys and I hope to see you all down at the arena for the home opener on Wednesday.

Is it just me or is this guy the perfect rookie for the Raptors?! He seems happy to be in Toronto, he's eager yet huble and he's so polite that he's almost Canadian already!
