A few days ago, I noticed that Colvin was placed on the Physically unable to perform list (just like Zach). Just curious to know what RC's injury & status is.

I haven't heard that news. It sucks ass because with Colvin and Seymour and McGinnest, thats some serious pass rushing.

Doesn't that list mean he cannot play untill week 6-9 and if he's not activated during that week he's out for the season?

Zach Thomas had surgery shortly after Independence Day & was placed on the PUP list right after phins camp started on 7/31.

ZT is expected back by mid Aug. I don't believe there is a time frame but honestly I don't know.

I definitely want the Pats @ full strength when Miami whoops their candy asses. Ha ha ha ha!!!! Wait! That will never happen as long Wanny is the phins coach.

There is a list that you can put injured players on, but they have to return around week 7 and 11 in order for them to paly in the playoffs or weeks 12-17, i forget the name but i rember Buckhalter was put on it 2 years ago, if they dont return, than its basically the IR.

the list is basically the IR, but it gives players a shot at comming back in a gap of the season.

The move means Colvin, who is recovering from a broken hip suffered in Week 2 of last season, is not yet ready to practice in pads and take part in contact drills.
The move does not affect Colvin's status for the regular season.

According to the internal NFL transaction wire, Colvin was placed on the ``active-PUP'' list, which differs from the ``reserve-PUP'' list that the Pats have used during the past few years.

Players that land on reserve-PUP are ineligible to play or practice for the first six weeks of the regular season. Players on active-PUP can be taken off the list at any point during training camp.

I have also heard that colvins recent prognosis has him on track to be ready for the regular season but I'll believe it when I see it. I just hope he is able to make a full receovery and I don't care how long it takes....Willie played great in his spot last year and Vrable is going to have a monster season barring a broken arm in the middle of the season like last year.

He'll be in playing shape just not hitting shape. He has been running for a while now and past the test before camp he just isn't cleared for contact....With our depth I'm sure he wouldn't start or at least play the majority downs the first few weeks anyways regardless of what kind of shape he is in.
