"It is a solution so breathtaking in its simplicity, so amazingly easy in its execution, that it's a wonder that a mind more advanced than mine hasn't stumbled upon it before. At season's end, Kobe for T-Mac." Full Story: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/stor...avid&id=1651067
Very stupid on both sides. If Kobe does not go to jail he will play and might re-sign....So why trade him for a player who is just as good as him Magic won't even consider it because if Kobe goes go to jail they are screwed for a long time...also the fact he will be a FA and likely leave Also I will add if Lakers do trade Kobe...they will NOT get fair trade value back for him...no chance Teams would not risk giving up 2 all-stars or whatever for a guy who might go to jail.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting allnet:</div><div class="quote_post">Very stupid on both sides. If Kobe does not go to jail he will play and might re-sign....So why trade him for a player who is just as good as him</div> Maybe its not so stupid. The Lakers are fed up with Kobe's comments of opting out and he seems unhappy in Lakers. I garuantee you T-Mac would not take playing for the Lakers for granted.
I think the only real substance behind this article is T-Mac's close friendship with Shaq. Too many reasons why it wouldn't happen, but man it'd be fun if it did Like 2K3 brought to life.
this is just ridiculas ! why would the Magic organization trade T-Mac for another player as good as him ... and with an Un-guarenteed future ?! .. T-Mac = Orlando Magic .. PERIOD !
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Air Canada:</div><div class="quote_post">oh did I mention that Kobe can't carry a team by himself ?</div> so does Tmac...
The trade wouldnt make much sense. Both payers have so much in common it would just be switching them from east to west. The main difference between the two is that Kobe holds the edge with clutch play, while Tmac is out of trouble with the law.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Air Canada:</div><div class="quote_post">oh did I mention that Kobe can't carry a team by himself ?</div> and you know that becuz..?? Hes had a chance too?? OR is it becuz you just assume that.. HATER!!!

He hasnt had the chance to prove otherwise. Maybe Kobe could carry a team. Unless he plays an entire season without Shaq, no one will know.

Theres too much on the table for Kobe right now for a deal to even be considered. The Magic wont trade their superstar and get nothing in return if Kobe does go to jail.
Tmac is right though John Gabriel is a moron.. Why sign tyron Lue when u can pick up antonio daniels or kenny anderson Why bring in Howard.. yea he was cheap, but keon clark would be a better fit for the team.. Why pick gaines when he has no true position or no jump shot.. Just like recent cuttie sasser another bust
Keon Clark was not a free-agent so they wouldn't have the chance to sign him...Jazz only got him because they have the cap space...and Kings needed to save money.
The addition of Juwan Howard and Ty Lue makes the Magic even worst, they shot25 percent tonight and got spanked by the KNICKS. Reece Gaines is a bust, Juwan Howard thinks he is good , but he SUCKS. Ty Lue cant play PG. Juwan Keeps getting in Drews and Tracys way , he has no idea how to play offense. There is no way the Magic win more than 25 games this season.

Not gonna happen... In today's L.A. Times, owner jerry buss calls kobe his "son" and says he would never trade him. Buss said something like he wants to be involved in kobe's entire career that will lead him to be one of the three greatest players of all time. Sorry, i'm too lazy to get the exact quotes
