Ricky Davis is underrated. He's got a lot of talent and is a solid starter. However, throwing the ball onto the backboard to try to get a triple-double is pretty low. I'm glad they didn't give him credit for it. Nice board here. I think I'll be sticking around.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting jump:</div><div class="quote_post">Jason Williams</div> I don't think het gets enough credit for the way he's turned his game around under Jerry West, now a really solid point guard who you can have on the floor at the end of games.
Gilbert Arenas IS the most underated player in NBA history. Anyone who can go from 10.9 ppg to 18.3 ppg is a sure prospect.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ThaLord:</div><div class="quote_post">Forgot someone... Udonis Haslem is playing great ball...</div> yeah...i agree...i picked him up for my fantasy team...hehehe
I say the most underated player is Rashard Lewis. Anybody that can put up 50 a game and has always had good seasons and has never been an all-star is truly underated.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting obie1124:</div><div class="quote_post">Anybody that can put up 50 a game and has always had good seasons and has never been an all-star is truly underated.</div> Rashard Lewis put up 50 in ONE game, but he isn't good enough to put up "50 a game" I know what you meant...
He put up an easy 50 when he was on the heat. I think him and tony Delk dropping 50 on the kings when he was on the Suns. Are the 2 most unlikely cats to put up 50 in a game

But it takes more than one good year to prove yourself. How about the Most Improved Player from last year then? Troy Murphy.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting InNETSweTrust:</div><div class="quote_post">Kenyon Martin...</div> no role player who gets talked about like a star demands a contract richer than a 20-10 man(elton brand) when hes never been close to a 20 man OR a 10 man let alone both can be called underrated. I agree with Ray ALlen. Not several years ago but now. Marion, Cassell and Brand are up there too.
Ricky Davis is far from underrated. All you people praising him and all, look at stats. Last year, sure, like, 22 ppg, but, 40% from the field. Ouch. Plus, he's not what I'd call a sharing player. He's got all the talent to be a superstar in this league, but, he's far from underrated.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Lostmyluggage:</div><div class="quote_post">Gilbert Arenas IS the most underated player in NBA history. The fact that he won most improved last year, and the fact he was talked about as one of the most sought after free agents would presumably suggest people give him his dues. Skip, which Thomas do you mean? Kurt is underrated, so is Kenny a bit, but Tim's never lived up to the hype
Not a sharing player? He led our team in assists as well. A handful of games he dished out over 10 a game last season. 20, 5, and 5, on 41%, not too bad for a young guy.
41%, I don't care if you're young, not good. Kobe is still young and shoots high 40s, same with TMac. And leading a team with a mere avg of 5 apg is still not that good. But, whatever you people think, I'm not gonna argue that much. It gets nowhere.
I'm not saying that Ricky is underrated, because to me he is not, he does have to work on his game more. Arenas is not underrated either.
Yea, Arenas lost his underrated tag when he won Most Improved Player. And, if he hadn't lost it then, he lost by signing the 63 million dollar contract with the Wizards.
I also think Cuttino Mobley is one of the best all around shooting guards in the NBA. He is highly underated. Carlos Boozer isn't good enough to be underated.
Boozer, a double-double a night guy that shoots over 55% not good enough? lol! He was the best Duke player taken last year.

Mobley can stroke it and is a nice player, but IMO he's a bit too one dimensional to be called underrated, let alone one of the best all around. I won't even comment on the other comment, if you don't rate Boozer and the job he does then you obviously don't watch a lot of basketball.
