<div class="quote_poster">Quoting allnet:</div><div class="quote_post">Eric Snow goes from underrated to overrated within minutes..Amazing </div>lol...the irony!
Brent Barry is the ideal role player. Ran the 1 spot extremely well after last year's trade. Never gets in trouble with the exception of that one incident. Gotta love bones.
Let me quote myself: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I think Snow is clearly better than Franics</div> I said I thought it, not you guys, so there is no reason to jump all over my case for that. You can like whoever you want, and I can like whoever I want, it's called having a personality. The thing is, I like more fundementaly sound players, and Eric is more fundementaly sound than Steve in my eyes.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sasha:</div><div class="quote_post"> The thing is, I like more fundementaly sound players, and Eric is more fundementaly sound than Steve in my eyes.</div>This is your bias talking. Eric couldn't hold Steve's jock strap.
havnt read all this thread, its too long, and im too lazy, but imo, my most underrated players are... ak47 michael redd sam cassell zach randolph alvin williams jamaal magloire zach randolph should be an all-star this year, he might just be one too...he should get selected off the bench...course he prolly wont because of his off-court antics, but screw it, hes a beast. sam cassell...the guy never gets mentioned among the top pg's in the league, hes got one of the best mid-range games of any pg, hes deadly from there, and dishes out plenty of assists.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rudeezy:</div><div class="quote_post">This is your bias talking. Eric couldn't hold Steve's jock strap.</div> Word... I don't know who in the world would pick Snow over Francis. This isn't about personality, its about your basketball knowledge. This also includes a little bit of your opinions and what you think.... But sayin Steve Francis is no better than Eric Snow is somethin different. You would rather have Snow than Francis on your team? You think Iverson would do better with Snow than Francis? You said you weren't biased...if you were a Rockets fan or a fan of any other team, do you think you would think this? Lol... funny.
MVPlaya - I can see the point you're making, but word it better next time. I can see you're not trying to attack Sasha, but it reads like a personal attack so choose your words better dude Oh and everyone can have an opinion, even if it is a wrong one I still think the most underrated player is Elton Brand. For a consistent 20/10/4/3 guys, he does not get rated among the elite players nearly as much as he should. For me, he would be among the first 10 players I would pick for a team, easily. I saw someone mention Dwyane Wade earlier. I also said he could be a darkhorse for ROY. Currently getting almost 16, 5 and 5, and is on a bit of a tear at the moment. An absolute stud.
Iam not saying that I would take Snow over Steve, but I will say this Steve Francis cant run a team. And that is the main job of a point guard not scoring 20pts per game.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MVPlaya:</div><div class="quote_post">You think Iverson would do better with Snow than Francis?</div> I do. Iverson would enjoy scoring help, but he wouldn't enjoy the decrease in the need for him to handle the ball. Franchise is a shoot-first pg, Iverson would not enjoy playing with him. Besides, does it really matter which one Iverson would play better with? How does that make Francis better? For the record I think that Francis is better than Snow, but your reasons aren't very good.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Trail_Blazer76:</div><div class="quote_post">I do. Iverson would enjoy scoring help, but he wouldn't enjoy the decrease in the need for him to handle the ball. They would be a better team with Francis. Iverson would welcome that IMO. Francis is averaging 17+PPG, 5+RPG, and 5+APG. Those are not bad numbers. Its also hard not to be a score first point guard when you are the team's #1 option.
Everything you've said bout Snow and Francis is true. But don't sit in front of the tube waiting for a Snow-Francis trade to happen.

They would not be a better team with Francis. Stevie shoots slightly worse than Iverson, and they dont have rebounding to compensate for all of those missed shots. Between the two of them, there would be too many shots earlier in the clock. Snow already gets more assists than Franchise anyway.

They all may score around the same PPG but Francis is clearly their biggest threat and the guy the Defense keys on. Yao should and will become the #1 option as he matures. How would they not be a better team? Iverson would not have to do it all himself and he wouldn't get double or triple teamed as much. A lot of people thought the Lakers would be in trouble after getting all those scorers... Of coarse Snow gets more assists, scoring is not his game because he is NOT a scorer.
I think its pointless to debate whether Eric Snow is as good(or better) than Steve Francis. The players themselves prove that Franchise is the better player but also that Francis is better suited for a specific role which is different than Snow's role. Jerry Stackhouse and Larry Hughes: both guys were guards playing with Iverson who were, IMO, better than Snow. Yet he prefers playing with Snow because it fits his style better, just as Jordan prefered playing with Paxson over Armstrong although Armstrong was the better point. So is Francis better than Snow? Yes. Would Francis and Iverson be a better combo? Not necessarily.
Besides the world-beater Snow... { } I think Pau Gasol & Sahreef Abdur-Rahim are two of the underrated PF's. I think Jason Terry is an underrated PG.
You know, AI may be selfish, but, he needs to be at times. Though, there are nights, like for example, last week when he had that 8/34 night, that he needs to pass it more. When the shot ain't dropping, do something else. Get others involved. But, if he's on fire, get him the ball. Let him be selfish. Plus, he's really the only big option he has. Though, if I'm not mistaken, Glenn Robinson is back. But, he's still gonna need to get used to being involved in that offense.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">I think Terry is a terrible point guard. Micheal Redd and Zach Randolph are very underrated also. (I didn't read all 6 pages, so don't get mad if you've already said them)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">I think Terry is a terrible point guard. He's a pretty good 2-guard tho...</div> He still gets 7 dimes a game, which isn't bad. 2-guard in a PG's body, but he is capable of playing the PG point guard. I can think of many worse PG's than JT.
