    NEW YORK, Nov. 3 ? New Orleans? Baron Davis and Seattle?s Rashard Lewis were today named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Tuesday, October 28 through Sunday, November 2.
    Davis led the Hornets to a 3-0 record by averaging 24.7 points, 8.3 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 5.00 steals.

    Lewis led the SuperSonics to a 2-0 record while they opened the season in Japan. In two games he averaged 37.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists.

    Here is a closer look at the week for Davis and Lewis:

    Baron Davis, New Orleans Hornets
    October 29 vs. Atlanta ? Had 15 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and five steals as the Hornets defeated the Hawks 88-83 in their season opener.
    October 30 at Orlando ? Tallied 22 points, eight assists, and five steals in a 100-98 victory over the Magic.
    November 1 vs. Boston ? Had 37 points, seven assists and five steals as the Hornets defeated the Celtics 97-90.

    Rashard Lewis, Seattle SuperSonics
    *October 30 vs. L.A. Clippers ? Scored 25 points while adding four rebounds, three assists and a steal in a 109-100 win over the Clippers.
    *October 31 at L.A. Clippers ? Had a career-high 50 points to go along with eight rebounds and four assists as the SuperSonics defeated the Clippers 124-105.
    * Games played in Japan

    Other nominees for Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week were Boston?s Vin Baker, Chicago?s Tyson Chandler, Detroit?s Ben Wallace, Indiana?s Al Harrington, Los Angeles Lakers?
