I'm sure PJ will replace Pop well enough for one game..

Allnet, what exactly happened with this "contact"?

Was it an a shove or was it just an accident that they ran into each other?

I love it! The Spurs are falling apart. First Parker out for awhile, losing to some scrubby teams, and now Timmy Duncan might be out, and Popazit gets tossed for a game.

you cant really say they are falling apart they havent even played ten games, that is like saying the lakers have the title sealed, the big four may be gelling now but they still have 78 games to go..things can drastically change

How can you say that the defending champions are falling apart? These are just some minor set backs that they are experiencing. All teams face adversity and the great teams know how to overcome it and you probably wont admit it but the Spurs are a great team.

I find it laughable that you are trying to say after three games that the defending World Champions are falling apart.

For the record, it says that Duncan will be out between one and three weeks.

This is a set back but this team is in no means falling apart.

You need to get out of your realm where you are set year in and year out that the Lakers are the best team in the league. They might be however there are alot of other great teams out there like this one. Lets remember they kicked your ass last year in the playoffs and they can do it again too.

From what I saw he did it to get the refs attention as he wasn't happy with the calls the ref was making.I think Pop did it on purpose to be honest...With Duncan out..He wanted to make a statement to his players....Like he has done in the past.

Also Manu went off in the 4th quarter because of injury as well

    Parker
    Manu
    Carter
    Duncan

All injuried in some way....Manu might play tonight though

I fully expect the Lakers to win on thursday with all these injuries going on...Duncan is the one that hurts more than anything..but games this early in the season don't matter so much..

Parker is expected to be back on thursday but likely will see limited minutes as it is tough to come back from injury and perform straight away.

C'mon It is MDE..Disrespecting other teams and their players..is what he is all about.

NBA officials also will likely review Popovich's ejection today to determine whether his actions warrant an additional fine ? he automatically lost $1,000 Monday night ? or a suspension. Popovich began yelling at Brown early in the second quarter when no call was made after Memphis forward Shane Battier appeared to rake Shane Heal across the arms. After Brown gave him his first technical, Popovich marched onto the court and began yelling in the official's face. TV replays indicated he made slight contact with Brown during the confrontation.

After Brown ejected him, Popovich was restrained by his assistant coaches and Malik Rose. He then turned and calmly walked to the locker room, where he joined Duncan for the remainder of the game.

"He thought I was actually lonely," Duncan said. "We hadn't had any personal time, so he just wanted to come back and hang out for a while."

The rest of the Spurs almost delivered a victory as Duncan and Popovich watched on TV.

    I found that amusing

Also, Bruce Bowen pulled a Michael Joradan (not really) and played with a 102? fever and had 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Uh yeah, usually you don't give much respect to your biggest rivals. Nobody gave the Lakers respect last year when they had a rough start, so why should people give Spurs respect when they are falling apart?

Oh my gosh Allnet, you hurt my feelings..Truly.. :P

Falling apart isn't even the right term and your first comments in this thread were completly out of line. If you can't post quality comments regarding this team, then please stay out of this forum.-dexter</font>

I would love to know how Spurs are falling apart when the season is only a few weeks old...Did they change the schedule to 5 games per season..then the playoffs start? Nah didn't think so.People joked at the Lakers start last year because everyone hated them...but people always respected them and still do.
