Even though he wasnt top-notch receiver last season, it will be tough for the Raiders. But if you think about it, he isnt like Jerry who can keep going and going, he seemed to be losing it his last 2-3 seasons. He says he will resurface as a top receiver else were, which is definite BS, seeing how no1 is probably willing to take a 38 yr old receiver he has been choking for the past seasons. Any1 have opinions?
WRs age gracefully, not like RBs that get beat up. WRs can play longer, hence Jerry Rice. Tim Brown right now is nothing more than a 3rd WR, I hope he retires so he could end his career in black and silver.
Yea, I hate to see very god players who play many yrs witha team, switch for one season and retire something they didnt want to be. Plus he thinks he will get a starting role elsewere, when he wont. Teams have much younger and better WRs.
O yeaa....id shoot for SF big time, since this would make up for their retarded decisions this off-season, well not that much. Id hate to see T.Brown waste his last yr in SF
Tim we love ya and thanks for the years, your on my top 10 recieving list. But it's time to throw in the towel buddy.
Im a betting man here. i guarentee brown comes to tampa. He knows our offense and gruden loves him. Not to mention mccardell may be released or traded.
Tim Brown will end up in Denver. But he should end up in Minnesota. I think that's where he'd do the most damage. (as in "play the best")
He will end up somewhere were the team needs a highlight receiver. Those teams wopuld be in order of needed most 1) SF! 2)Tampa thatsa ll I can think of. Id give SF the best shot, since they really need somen to make Timmy look better
Tim Brown is now a Tampa Bay Buc. Looking at their injury list and holdouts, it looks like they can use him.
Yea. But I only see him being around for maybe 2 seaons, tops. He has slowed down, unlike an older receiver like J.Rice who is still fast and has high endurance
^^^^ So true, when I dont see anything to really gloat about. Did any1 else notice that Brown dropped some super easy passes last season? Like some in the endzone
Did anyone notice that tim brown isnt 25 years old eithier? Of course his best days are gone. In tampa, tim coming here isnt to be our go to guy. Only reason we signed him is he knows grudens offense. Bringing in someone else they would have to learn the plays, in which brown knows. With key injurys to charles lee,joe jurevicous we need a number 3 or 4 wr. So brown comes to tampa to be our 3rd man, atleast til something is resolved with mccardell. I like the signing despite tim's age. I think his knowledge of this offense benifits us. As for last year, callahan screwed that offense up so much all the players on offense didnt know what kinda offense they were running.
Every good offensive player went to trash when Callahn tried his hand at creating an offense. Even the great Jerry Rice. What I dont get is, how did Callahan go from having the best offense in 2002 to the worst in 2003? Was it that he was still using Grudens scheme in 2002?

This move makes the Tampa @ Oakland game in week 3 that much more interesting doesn't it?
Not really, seeing how he is too old, slow, and fragile. Thats the whole reason Oak let him go, cuz he cant make it downfield for those quick routes that both Jerry's can do.
