RIcky said he wants to return to the NFL in 2005 with Oakland, and only oakland, sounds intresting, kinda opposite of Barry Sanders. barry left a shitty team and wanted to win, RIcky is leaving a rising team to a downfalling team. ... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/writ...mike/index.html ''"Every man thinks his burden is the heaviest, but he who feels it knows it. Burden equals truth."-Ricky WIlliams any1 know what he means?
A rising team....righttttttttt. What wonderful front office decisions they sure make to bring themselves to the top. Sounds like he wanted a easy fast way away from Mia., take vacation and come back to Oak. Oak might take him since he would be a plus for their running game, but he is a dope head
Like I posted earlier, Sporting News says it all about Attention w/ Ricky and it seems they are exactly light. As for Ricky's quote, I say shut the hell up and enough w/ the lame Buddha impressions (verbally anyway) and would like to dedicate "Poor Twisted me" to Puffy Williams. In retrospect, You would think Miami would be an ideal place for Ricky w/ all that Happy grass that is imported from the Caribbean.
Bull Shit, why would he retire "officiall" to smoke and travel the world, then return a year later. First off, he'll probably smoke the rest of his life and he wont just quit next Janurary, and second of all, it takes more than a year to travel the world. Makes no sense at all. Ricky, like BA said, just wants attention. Its funny, I was watching Sportscenter last night and they showed the Ricky WIlliams commericail, when he was talking about Fred FLinstone. Makes you wonder if he was high then.
Why would he? Cause ricky williams was caught on his 3 rd test and what better way to leave before you get suspended. Unfortatley ricky williams cannot serve his suspension this year, due to the knucklehead filing retirement papers it insist once you file, you are not eligible to come back for 1 year. So if its true ricky would miss games in oakland. I think the source is bull shit, much like barry sanders propaganda. Its just another story.
The way the NFL contract system works, Ricky is the property of the Dolphins unless they release him or trade him, until he fulfills the length of the contract....the Dolphins will put him on the Reserved/Retired list and his contract will be frozen until he resumes it....its the same clause that kept Deion from coming back with the Raiders a few years ago, he was property of the Redskins and once they waived him, the Chargers claimed him, so if he wanted to come back today, he would have to be a Charger....If he wants to be a raider, he could have told the Dolphins that, and they likley would have worked something out.....I do have one problem with the story though....Ricky Williams has publicly complained about the way he was used the last 2 year(only back I know of that complains he gets too many touches), so why would he reunite with the offense coordinator who "overused" him and burnt him out? Im just not buying it...

Regardless, RW needs to shut the hell up & go far far away.
