Sadly to say the Mavericks have lost 2 in a row. Final Socre 77-73 Dirk Lead the way with 27 while Walker had 17 rebounds but 9TOs Carter Lead the way with 19.. while Davis had 12 Rebounds Dallas was so close to winning when they cut the lead to 3 with about 2.12 left in the 4th. The Mavs struggling does not suprise me. Until they make a move to acquire a true center, their problems will continue IMO.
Toronto played great D .. holding the Mavricks to 71 points ( not 73 ) .. Vince played great Defense on Dirk in the second half .. to hold a team that averages 104.6 PPG to 71 is really a thing I'm proud of ! good luck with the spurs

Look at the last 2 champs, Lakers and Spurs. They each had dominating big men in Shaq and Duncan. Plus, they also know how to defend consistently. Dallas, yea, defended good according to the score, but, they didn't score tonight. They need to find an edge of consistency. They haven't been good really at all this year.
Dee's right, Dallas is missing Nash and an identity. There's no more past to hold on to. There is no more big three there are now a big 5. It is not the Dirk, Steve and Finn's show with couple of guest stars. The new parts are going to have to be merged into the whole. I think that the assimilation will take a few more games and then... watch out!

They can't win unless they have a real center like how Jordan had Luc Longley!
Great sarcasm Stefen, Shaq, Yao, and Z are the only true centers if you ask me, the rest either stink or are tweeners. It's amazing how lazy people can be when breaking down this situation in Dallas.
They just need to get their chemistry together, I mean if the Lakers can I know they can. Its not a bad situation they're having, its just the chemistry isnt quite right yet.
