very simple ... Dallas averages 104.6 PPG .. but tonight .. it was a different story as the Toronto Raptors held them to a 71 points to get the Victory 77-71 !!!! .. Vince played a great great defence on Nowitski in the second half holding him to just 6 points in it ! Chris Bosh came up huge 6 points and 9 rebounds ... but his D was just great ! AD and JYD .. another great defensive game for both .. and The Player Of The Game without any quistion is Moe Pete who made huge plays down the stretch and made a reverse lay up in the last minute that almost sealed the game for toronto Vince missed 3 very important free throw by the end of the game ... but his defense on Dirk in the second half was AMAZING !! .. .. Go Raps Go ..

Mavs only scoring 71 points?! The Mavs have had three off nights, offensively, which have led to their 3 losses. It is going to be real tough to win a 7 game series with a team like this. An off night offensively equals a loss. They don't play good enough defense to make up for a poor shooting night. This is what seperates them from the Spurs, Lakers, Wolves, etc.
Alvin Williams is hurting. It's telling when your starting Point guard doesn't have a single assist in a game... and yet no excuses the Raptors played well enough for a win and a Raptor win is always welcome news to me. Even if it's against Mr. Nash's team. (I hope that there's nothing terribly wrong with his shoulder) Any comment about how the Mavs were supposed to be this offensive force after adding their two new prized studs to the stable and now they seem to be scoring less than before?
Wins over teams like Nets and Mavs just speak for itself, Raps are brand new team. It's not just the win though, it's how they won. It's clear they lack offence weapons except for Vince, but they make up for it by all their grit and grind and determination to win overall. I think Kevin O'Neil was an incredible pick by Raps, the whole new attitude he's bringing to T-Dot is changin the team alot. I mean how the hell do you explain Mo Pete and VC not takin quick jump shots like they used to last year? I've seen Vince attack the basket 3 times in a row(though he never got one in) but by doin that constantly, good results came: breakin down the D, findin the open men, and of course, gettin points for himself. This is for allll the haters who doubted Raps HAHA!
The thing that I like the most is the absence of both bravado and excuses. These guys are just playing hard and knowing that results will come from that. I think that Skip was bang on by saying that KO was a incredible pick for this team.
I was totally shocked when the game ended, I thought it would be a major blowout. Somehow the raps pulled off with a win, and I have to admit they played pretty good.
The team looks good so far, now we need to step it up on offense. I wouldnt get too excitied though still.
