Are the New Orleans Hornets the best team in the league? They are currently with five wins and one loss. They've beaten the Celtics, 76ers, and even the Lakers. They've also done this all with no Jamal Mashburn or David West. Could the Hornets be the team of the future?
B-Diddy is playing as well as anyone else around at the moment. Doing EVERYTHING. It's gonna be amazing when their other franchise player, Mash comes back. Magloire is a legit bigman, and PJ Brown does his thing. Killer shooter in Wesley. Their depth is not great besides Lynch and Armstrong, but I think they can make do. Not the best team, but they will give things a shake up this season.
I don't think I can call them the best yet. For one, they play in the East. The East is by far weaker than the West. They did the beat the Lakers, but, when they play em again, will they be able to beat em? I can't call them the best right now. I still think the Lakers are the best team in the NBA still just cause, well, look who they've beat, Spurs, Dallas, etc. They've not only knocked off powerhouses, but, they did so in the West. That's why their the best still. Cause they can knock off the defending champs, even though they had not Tim Duncan, and they beat the Mavs. So, I still gotta go with LA just because of the fact they play in the West and the West is much harder.
Be interesting to watch them if Diddy cools down a bit, see if his teammates can step up without Mash around. Great start for them though, a perennial predicted East contender but they never seem to deliver.
Record wise..Hornets are right up there for now.The team of the future? well considering they are moving out west next season I highly doubt that.To me the Pacers are playing better basketball than the Hornets as they beat the top 2 east teams from last season on the road...It is very difficult to win in Detroit and New Jersey but they did that.
I dont think tehy are the best, they beat the Lakers who came off a double overtime game, they do look amazing though
"the team of the future" I dont think so.Its too early jumping to conclusions like that.It has happened before all the time,teams start off the season well,but they are no team of the future.. Remember Dallas last season.
Of course they are not the best, they are just getting the job done. And cow, those were some weak points.
The way i see it, the Hornets have every right to represent the East in the finals, they got a coach with bad win percentage tryin' to prove everyone wrong, they got a certain Diddy who was injured for most of last season and tryin' to make up for it, they're tryin' to do their best before they move out west, really, they got the best chance right now, but, as a Hornets fan, i will say they aren't the best team in the league, but when Nawlins plays a western team, they goin' bring it, because they gonna be rollin' with them cats next year.........
The Hornets arent the best but they can easily be one of the top teams in the east. They are one of the biggest eastern teams and could do some serious damage come playoff time.
Right now, I'd say the Hornets are the best. It's out of them and the Lakers, but the Hornets beat them. It's unlikely, but possible, they can keep it up for the season. But there's no reason why they can considering their injuries.
