I was watching the Mavs vs Spurs last night, and I heard the special reporter talk about a possible Dallas / Blazers trade.
They talked about Jamison and Finley getting traded for Wallace and Wells.
    Anyone got more on this?

I don't know why Dallas would trade Jamison, there top performer now, also there not looking to get any more S/Fs, they are looking for centers and people that can rebound and play good D.

I don't see this trade happening.

I was told about this.. some time after the Spurs game...But It didn't make sense considering the 4 players were actually playing in the game.Jamison played very well and really won them the game in the end.

    Cuban reportly denied the trade...

That's a strange one - why not just keep Jamison? Sheed's basically transformed into a perimeter orientated PF/SF who like Jamison is a big underachiever on the boards these days. Wells isn't an upgrade on Finley, so why trade when you're breaking even at best but getting two guys with questionable attitudes back when the two you give away don't.

George Karl (former Bucks coach and current espn game announcer) hinted about this trade during the Sonics/Blazers game on friday. I can see Rasheed playing with the Mavs because his another big man that shoots jumpers and he has more size than Jamieson. But I dont see the Blazers giving up Boni Wells. He plays to well with his back to the basket as a wing man, why give that up for a player that shoots alot of perimeter jumpers like Finley when you already have Derek Anderson(who does the same thing maybe not as good) Portland should should see if Dallas would go for Rasheed/Anderson for Jamieson/finley. If it works under salary cap I think both teams benefit. Dallas gets strong defensivly on the perimeter with Anderson and more size with Rasheed. Portland gets a better scorer at the 2 guard postion and more stabilty at the forward spot with Jamieson.

Very interesting that George Karl a man who built and then killed the Sonics and the bucks thought of this idea. The Mavs would be crazy to move finley for Derek Anderson or Wells and disrupt their chemistry. And Jamison for Wallace would be had to forsee as well with Wallace a natural 4 that would give the Mavs Dirk,Antoine and Sheed all natural 4s.

Highly unlikely deal but I guess where Nellie is involved never say never

I dont think Dallas should do the trade either I just threw Derek Anderson name out their because he brings more of what they need Defense than if they traded for Wells

Definitely would bring LOADS of attitude to the mavs. (and a few technical fouls). Mark Cuban and Rasheed... I'd love to see them in a steel cage match. [IMG]
