Maybe in light of the post of the All Wake Up Team we can go with this the guys still hang of their reps as former stars but are just taking up space. Center and captain - Dikembe Mutombo (From the man with great D and little O to the man with little anything) Power Forward - Tom Gugliotta (all star to last man sitting) Small Forward - Scottie Pippen (pip has never been the same since leaving chicago) Shooting Guard - Penny Hardaway (from the next MJ to a sixth man with grandma knees) Point Guard - Terrell Brandon ( i couldnt think of another point so heel do as his payroll doesnt expire til next year a great player just got run down with injuries)
Dunno how you can make a has been team without including Shawn Kemp...At leasr Googs can blame his wretched injurt run, Kemp has just endured a big fall from grace
I woulds like to add a potential All-Has-Been 6th man candidate: Either Antonio McDyess or Stacey Augmon
Another possibility, though it's not his fault he's been ravaged with injuries, Grant Hill. He's played in 42 games over the last 3 years. Ouch.
I reckon stick to players who haven't been savaged by injuries, cos it's a bit unfair to call players 'has-beens' who are really just victims of awful luck (McDyess, Hill, Fonz)
Yea, I did state that. Cause, it's never a players fault when they get injured, so, it's not really fair to label them as has beens when they can't do anything about it.
C- Derrick Coleman PF - Antonio McDyess SF - Shawn Kemp SG - Penny Hardaway PG - Grant Hill Positions aren't the most accurate but it would have made a pretty good team in there prime.

Quoting Sir Desmond:

Dunno how you can make a has been team without including Shawn Kemp...At leasr Googs can blame his wretched injurt run, Kemp has just endured a big fall from grace
Kemp is near the top of my list! Penny as well. Some of the other guys (Antonio McDyess) are hurt and so don't know if they really count yet. Grant Hill counts for me because of the expectations put on him and the length of the injury. Also what makes his situation is all the more frustrating because he keeps teasing people by coming back falling apart...again...and again...and...
Just on Kemp, he joined the co-ownership of the USBL team the Oklahoma Storm today. Eddie Robinson of the Bulls is involved too, apparently.
C - Danny Fortson (yes i know he's really a foward) F-Shawn Kemp F-Vin Baker G-Nick Anderson G-Penny Hardaway

Quoting notMuchgame:

C - Danny Fortson (yes i know he's really a foward) F-Shawn Kemp F-Vin Baker G-Nick Anderson G-Penny Hardaway
First off, you absolutely have to have Grant Hill on your list. Secondly, have you been following basketball lately? Please remove Vin Baker from your list. At least until he reverts back to his prior drunken state of being  .

Grant Hill is a has-been as a result of his injuries. Secondly, I'm just trying to make up a list of players that people haven't metioned over and over. I only put penny hardaway because I can't think of another pg. And Finally, 7 good games for Vin Baker does not make up for 5 sub-par years of basketball. He hasn't really played well since 98 and i'm not about to give him the comeback player of the year after 2 weeks of ball.

Need a pg how about Damon stoudmire went from rookie the year to the worst starting pg(minus who ever the clipper decide to put at point) in the west. C- Christian Lattner(star at duke was an all star in 97 with the hawks and now he just a filler until Kwame Brown can step up and be a star at the big man spot. Honorable Mention F- Allan Henderson (won most improve player in 98 on the hawks. he avg 15per one or two season. he wasnt a star by any means but how do you go from 15per night to where the hell are you. All of the key contributers on the 97-98 Cavs every body was talking about how young and talented that team was. Derek Anderson(has had a good or avg career but he spends as much time on the injured list as Grant hill, whether its with the Spurs during the playoffs, and since he joined the Blazers every single season but what should I have expected from a guy who sat out all of his last year of college with ab injured leg. Next player from that team Cedric Henderson he was young athletic and a good defender every body was talking about him and now he is trying to get back in the league threw the NBDL (last time I checked) and Bervin Knight a star at stanford at one time was consider to be one of the top on ball defenders at the point guard position. Now he is being thrown around from team to team getting little to no playing time. And last but not least from that team Shawn Kemp he was an all-star on that team was the best power forward in the east that season but once he went from the Cavs to Portland his career was officially over.
C- Shawn Kemp F- Tom Gugliotta F- Grant Hill G- Penny Hardaway G- Damon Stoudamire I had to put Kemp at C since I wanted to include both Googs and "over the" Hill

You people have to realize, he's been injured. You can't label a person plagued with injuries as a has been. It's wrong. You don't know what he'd be doing if he was healthy. So, stop, for the love of god, stop.

Quoting notMuchgame:

C - Danny Fortson (yes i know he's really a foward) F-Shawn Kemp F-Vin Baker G-Nick Anderson G-Penny Hardaway
Have you seen Baker play this year he's averaging about 15 and 9 a game. Nobody is saying he should get comeback player yet, but what will make him slip up. He's skinny, he's motivated, and he's in the Eastern Conference.

Stoudamire is no where the near the worst pg in the west.
