He's a talent, but lets see how he reacts after this game. He seeminly goes on strings of selffish play and forced jumpshots. At Depaul, he scored primarily near the basket, if he can get back to that he could blossom.

I love this guy. He'd been stuck behind some other guys for a while, but he's really getting his opportunity and taking it. He's got some pretty good numbers this year, and is growing as a more potent threat.
What also impressed me about his game tonight was his rebounding. 16!! Who needs Elton? [IMG] :pimp:

Oh, and he's in my Fantasy Team.

Yea, good game. But, what you do in the follow up is always important. See how he reacts after having a monstrous game. See if he manages to keep it up or if he falls off. Cause, in all likelyhood, people will pay at least a little more attention to him. So, how he plays in his next game is truly a factor to me. Just to see how a young player reacts after a good game...

He hasn't been a one game wonder..He is averaging well over 17 points and 6 rebounds a game this season. He will have quite alot of shots with Brand out..Him and Maggette have been playing great basketball.

The points doesn't really surprise me that much. This kid is really athletic and can score the basketball when he gets hot. What really surprises me is that he had 16 rebounds. 16 rebounds from a person of his size is nothing short of amazing.

He also had more offensive rebounds than the whole Hawks team [IMG]

That actually doesn't surprise me. He averaged 10 boards a game at Depaul. Not many guys do that at the college level, let alone a guard/SF. Coming into the league, I thought he was goin to be a 18pts 8rbs kind of guy.

I mean, that was Depaul and he might have been a great rebounder in college however it is very different in the NBA. The size and ability of the players is far greater than that of college players. Over his entire NBA career he has only averaged 4.10 rebounds per game. That is why his 16 rebounds shocked me.

Q has got a huge vertical though apparently - he's like Dez Mason, Mase is only about Q's size but his career high for rebounding is 17, and he's done that twice. It's just timing your leap, cos Q can really get up there. That's why you see him get a lot of offensive boards, cos most guards are a lot more inclined to have a jump at a putback and leave the defensive boards to the big guys.

Yea, but its difficult to get a lot of rebounds in college where there are less shots put up.
And rebounding is all about mentality, college nba whatevers. Its true that the abilities of the players rise in the NBA, and his numbers would naturally decline, but it wouldn't decline that much as far as rebounding goes if he maintains his mentality.

And your 4 rbs a game stat for Richardson's career, thats at 22.8 minutes a game. He averaged 4.8 rbs in 23 minutes last year. Its not at all that shocking.

With all that considering notMuchgame and Sir Desmond, having any 2 guard in the NBA grab 16 rebounds a game is very impressive and is something that you do not see very often.

Actually, he had 31, 30 of which came before the 4th quarter. So he had only 1 point in the fourth, missing his last five shots. Nonetheless, great game..

Does it really count if you score 31 against the Magic. Isnt that like scoring 31 in practice

Q had a great game...Hitting alot of long shots and attacking the rim.He is have such a great start to the season and his Clippers are 4-2..All this without Elton Brand.

Quentin Richardson was getting all the attention before Bron and Melo. The talent and skill has always been there, just a matter of him putting it all together at the pro level, and that is what he is doing.
