No Richard Jefferson, avg 15pts & 7rbs(this year) went to the finals his first 2 seasons in the NBA.He probably will become an all-star before more than half of the people on that first list. yet nobody even mentioned his name.
Thats because RJ can't create his own shot, nor shoot the rock very well. I think his success can be pointed to Jason Kidd, you run, you finish, that is pretty much his game in a nutshell. 15 and 5, a solid FG%, but NJ does not want him shooting 3's and they would like him to play better defense and pass the ball better. All Star in the future? Nah.
Okay, I totally forgot to add Parker to the list. Now I have to explain why I put Marcus Banks up there. I may be kind of bias because I am from Boston and I love the Celtics but everybody here has high hopes for him. He will be our point guard for years to come and he knows he has to step up and he will. In the games that I have watched(all of them) he has been having trouble putting the ball in the hole and finding the right shots to make. With a few years under Jim O'Brien and Paul Pierce he will learn alot and become a great point guard for this team. Also, there is one thing that Banks can do! He can dribble and get down the court in ease without losing the ball. He has great handling with the ball, all he has to do is find out how to shoot it and he will be a all-star in five years.
LeBron James Carmelo Anthony Dwyane Wade Caron Butler Yao Ming Amare Stoudemire Quentin Richardson Emanuel Ginobili Tony Parker Rashard Lewis Flip Murray Give or take a few others, but I love the sick potential that these guys have, I love watching them play basketball.
There is a reason why Manu was named the euro Kobe..(Only basketball of course  ) He can shoot the ball, attack very well, rebound the basketball and he has deadly passing skills. The other night @ Philly I believe he had 21,8 and 7 or something along those lines. When Duncan was out he put up a near triple double against the Lakers as well....This guy will be an all-star with time.
Bron, Melo, Chandler, Curry, Erenas, Hughes, Yao, A.Stoudamire, Dwyane, Redd, Mason, Bosh, Crawford(no one mentioned him yet??) and Ricky Davis.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting depor:</div><div class="quote_post">You still forget Gasol in your lists... </div> I think he's close to all-star quality, problem is a forward who consistently puts up 18 and 8 in the West won't make it simply cos of the depth of Western forwards. Has youth on his side though.

The luckiest moment in Jefferson's basketball career was having the chance to play with Kidd.If RJ was on a slow past team I doubt he would do anywhere near as good. His game is fast break basketball by getting dunks...And easy lay-ups from great Kidd passes...We all saw how he did when he his team had to play half-court basketball. Not great thats for sure.Although I do like watching him play...He is exciting to watch.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting slamduncan21:</div><div class="quote_post">A Chicago Tribune writer called him "KG with a driver's liscence".</div> He doesnt have the basketball I.Q. of Garnett and the scoring ability. There is no way Chandler will be the next Garnett... He will be good within his own right, but no where near Garnett. Sorry.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting purehoops:</div><div class="quote_post">There is no way Chandler will be the next Garnett... </div> I could not have said that better myself. Chandler is lazy and would never have the drive and emotion that KG has. No way near as versatile anyway.
Drew Gooden for sure. Desmond Mason, TJ Ford, Micheal Redd, Eddy Curry, Chandler, Mike Miller, Crawford, Gasol, Amare, Caron Butler, Lebron, Ricky Davis, Darius Miles, Nene, Melo, Maggette, Both Richardsons(Q and Jason), Chris Kaman, Wade, Zaza Pachilia, Steven Hunter(that's a lot of bias right there), Tayshaun Prince(for allnet), Darko, Okur, Every team has at least one, I'm missing a lot,but those are the ones i could think of off the top of my head. I'm surprised that you put Giricek on your list.
Yes and so far this season Tayshaun Prince is averaging nearly 11 points and 5 rebounds per game.I called it.He is also shooting 43% from three-point land. as I also said in the off-season Memo Okur...Averaging 9 points and 8 rebounds a game in under 24 minutes per game.He is a beast on the boards.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">I could not have said that better myself. Chandler is lazy and would never have the drive and emotion that KG has. No way near as versatile anyway.</div> Lazy? Huh? This offseason he was one of the first to arrive to the Berto Center, and one of the last to leave. He is a very emotional player. Curry is the one who plays w/o emotion. Dunno where you got the 'no emotion' part. Maybe he is doing better this season at it. Last year, BC and the coaching staff were trying to control it a bit.
Chandler is nothing like Garnett. Garnett is a superb play, all around. Chandler will never have his handles, or offensive firepower. Chandler is going to develop more into a defensive, weak side shotblocking, rebounding force.
