    They have started 5-4

    While beating

    Portland
    Wolves (twice)
    Grizzles
    Suns

Carlos Arroyo is playing amazing ball..averaging 13 points 8 assists a game going into tonight...He ended up getting 30 points tonight...

Harpring is giving them 17 and 6
    Kirilenko 17 and 7
Ostertag is averaging 10 rebounds a game...Even Reja Bell has averaged double fiqures off the bench

So do you all still see them as the worst NBA team?

Like you have said with the Warriors, I have said with the Jazz. I was saying that the Jazz would not be as bad as people think because they have a system with Jerry Sloan as the coach. He always gets his players to buy into the system he is trying to sell and that's why they will atleast be competitive year in and year out (until Sloan retires I guess).

I was one of the people writing the Jazz off I will admit that.Jerry Sloan has made me re-think my opinions on that team.If Jazz get between 30-35 wins Sloan deserves coach of the year without a doubt..It's a shame Sloan never got the ring he truely deserved...

The Jazz do have some players its not like there talentless. I mean kirilenko is a great player and harprng is a good role player. They wont be the worst team in the leauge because of some talent and they will suprise a few teams thinking they are soft.

i think they have the least talent of any team in the league.

teams they will compete with for the worst record in the league....

    Miami (Wade, Butler, Jones, Odom)
    Cleveland (Z, Davis, James, Boozer)
    Denver (Melo, Miller, Nene)
    Hawks (Terry, Abdur-Rahim, SJax)

and then you have the Jazz (AK47, Harpring and thats really it.)

Yea they probably do have the least amount of talent but they arent talentless and i dont think they will be the worse team because of the tlaent they do have and they will suprise team and not to mention they have a great coach.

I don't see how Denver will compete for the worst record in the league..They could make a push at the playoffs..or at worst 10th seed IMO

For seasons the Jazz have had Stockton+Malone+Sloan = playoffs. The only difference in the team is that Stock and Malone are gone. They're still playing a game full of hustle and effort. Like it always has been. Despite losing Stockton and Malone, their absence has promoted younger, promising players. Malone was replaced by Andrei Kirilenko, recently named NBA player of the week, and Carlos Arroyo, who is a very strong candidite for ROY. He's taken over the starting role from Stock and Utah have almost not noticed. I expected Utah to win more games than what people think, because Jerry Sloan would get the most out of the young players and they all would improve, but even I have been surprised a bit by the way they are playing. There playing like that because they are playing a very good team game, they need to keep that up for the season, because they dont have the individual talent, but so far that doesn't matter.

Musselmen got 38 wins last year and still didn't get the coach of the year...which was BS.

Yeah I was really surprised last year when he didn't win- he deserved it the most. He basically resurrected a franchise that was in the cellar of teh Western Conference for the last 8 or 9 years, and he loses to a guy with Tim Duncan on his team? Where's the justice in that?

I've definitely changed my opinion of the Jazz. They don't win games because of their talent, they win because of their hustle. As much as I hate to say it, I think that the Jazz are so under the radar that if Arroyo averaged 18 points and 9 assists per game, he still wouldn't get the award. I think it would be awesome if he surprised everyone and won ROY over LeBron and Melo.

Arroyo isn't a rookie. He has been in the league three seasons..but only played a total 9 games. However I don't it will quailfy as him being a rookie just because he has barely played.

Yea, Jazz have surprised me. Especially considering I was thinking that these guys would finish near the bottom of the west. But, Arroyo and co. are playing excellent ball. They've surprised me, I will admit.

Carlos Arroyo has played in a total of 89 games (907 minutes), with Toronto, Denver, and Utah.

    LOL, you guys are unbelievable.

The Jazz would kill to have Carlos Boozer right now..come to think of it he is the kind of player every team wants.

    Weak knock.

Boozer is so underrated.Any team in this league would look to have a player like him.

Boozer was by far the steal of last years draft.
