Judging by all of the stats.. Ill take Jarvis Hayes after the first couple weeks..
Almost as many points.. prob a lot less shots.. better % more steals a lot less turnovers.. Just shows what college will do for a player

Bosh has been playing great..
Now that hes starting and will get more minutes i expect 14 or 15 pts per game from him, he has 3 pt range which is nice to see..
Hes havin a good game today

Bosh had his first big game, but by no means has that been playing great, because those are not great numbers, lets see how well he can follow that up through the week, maybe he can climb the charts.

Huge game by Bosh today, 10 points in OT. Follow up game will be just as important though.

Hayes missed a couple easy layups which hurt his % tonight but he still put up 14 and 7.. 2 for 2 from three..
He is by far the best shooter to come in the league in the past 2 drafts..

I think an important stat you might want to add is their impact on wins from this season compared to last season. Invidual stats is only half of the equation for determining the top rookie. I would rank Melo #1 at this point in the season. James and Hayes definately belong in the top 3.

Id rank hayes ahead of lebron easily..
Hes allowing Stackhouse to come back slowly..
So far to me the cavs havent improved at all..
The wizards on the other hand lose 2 20 ppg scorers and their starting center and pf from the year before and they are still above 500!!

Two reasons for that: Gilbert Arenas and the form of Larry Hughes. Put Hayes on Clevelend and they would have as bad a record as they do now, arguably worse. Your 'Bron hating is wearing a bit thin.

Its not bron hating man.. im just stating the obvious..
There people go again saying put him on this team.. and he would do this.. U HAVE NO IDEA.. your not a fortune teller!!! Im just lookin at records -- and stats.. Washington is prob younger than cleveland so dont use youth as an excuse..and dont say cleveland doesnt have a front court.. becuz zydrunas and boozer are a 100000 x better than brown and haywood!!
Your just searchin for excuses..
When lebron starts leading this team to wins.. and "Making his teammates better" then i will praise him,
But as of now this team had the same record with langdon running the 2!!
I cant wait til Jarvis lights up Lebron again like he did last time they played

You would choose Hayes over Lebron? are you crazy? just because you hate LJ doesn't mean you should rather have a weaker player than a better one. It's like me saying I would choose Sean Marks over Shaq...It's pointless

Of course the Cavs have improved...A blind man can see that.Lebron is making his team-mates respect each other..sharing the rock well.Having fun while playing. He has got his team two wins out of 3...With one being over AI's Sixers.

What 2..20 point scorers have the Wizards lost? MJ was replaced by Arenas...Stack would be out for another month even if Hayes was doing poorly...Their starting center? who might he be? You act like the Wizards lost some great players....

Take it from me..There is two kind of ways to Stack..1.He can be a ballhog who only cares about stats..while making his team Alot worse by his attuide..Or 2. the Stack who plays for the team...gives up shots to help others and has a great attuide on defense as well.

Last year Stack was the 1 on the reasons I mentioned..Being without Stack may have actually helped them become a better team.

Cavs are actually the youngest squad of all time, so don't tell me Washington are younger cos that ain't possible. Tell me now - if you had a straight choice between LeBron and Hayes ATM you'd honestly take Hayes?! Bron is playing the position of NBA point guard, Hayes is a swingman splitting minutes with Larry Hughes and with opposing defenses focusing on Arenas, who also does most of the ball handling. Yet you can judge the Cavs record against the Wizards record? That's like saying Devean George is having a better season that Steph Marbury cos he's 'leading his team to more wins'. Hayes has a lot more help at the moment and isn't a target for opposing defenses like Bron is.

Ill agree hayes isnt the guy on the wiz.. and is prob the second option
But teams dont go in there wanting to stop lebron.. yea he does a little more than hayes on the court.. But Lebron is def. not the go to guy on offense in Cleveland

The Cavs are 2-0 against the Wiz this year (one being the last preseason game where the starters played the bulk of the minutes), and please tell me how Hayes outplayed LeBron in those games? The Nuggets and Wizards only have 3 combined wins more than the Cavs, so that is a joke point there. The Cavs were only blew out once this season in Portland, but have been in every other game up till late in the 4th quarter. Denver got spanked by Indiana while the Cavs lost to them on the very last play of the game, and we don't want to compare what Bron and Melo did against Ron Artest just for Anthony's sake. If you can't see that the Cavs are much better than last year well..na, I'll let the bashing continue from the other members.

King James i guess you are going for moral wins??
In that case doc rivers would be coach of the year..
Yea Cleveland won that one game.. but the head to head matchup had
Jarvis 10 - 20 8 boards 3 assits 22 pts
Lebron 8 - 19 8 boards 9 assits 17 pts
Maybe jarvis didnt dominate it.. but he more than held his own..
Im just saying lebron is in a win win situation.. If the team loses oh its ok their young.. if they win or in Kings james scenario "dont get blown out" Then they are a better team becuz of him
Lebron has the clippers washington minnesota and atlanta comin up in the next 4 games.. If that team doesnt win a min. of 2.. then i dont want to hear ANY OF YOUR EXCUSES

Excuses? Have I said that I accepted losing? Have you not seen me bash the Cavs in my previews? You are terrible. You can't back up your points, everybody hammers you, what is next? Your gimmick is old, washed up.

I suggest that you raise the quality of your NBA talk.

Your not makin excuses??
FIrst off you say the cavs beat the wiz in a PRESEASON GAME..
Then you bring up the moral W's by saying 'but they have been in every other game up till late in the 4th quarter'
( i guess u didnt see the portland game where they lost by 19)
But you are right king james the cavs were 2- 8 after 10 games last year and this year they are 3 - 7 ..so i guess your right [IMG]
Look i never said that lebron wont turn out to be a good player.. i just said after 10 games Hayes is the rookie of the year..
POst the new stats between lebron and hayes.. and then compare the 2 ( im talkin steals turnovers and fg% as well)

I'll do it for you
Hayes 14.4 Bron 16.8 adv Bron
Hayes 5.4 boards Bron 6.4 adv Bron
Hayes 1.3 assits ( def needs to improve on that) Bron 6.4 adv bron
Hayes 1.5 steals Bron 1.4 adv Hayes
Hayes .5 blocks Bron .8 adv Bron
Hayes 45 % from the floor Bron 43 adv hayes
Hayes 82% from the line Bron 61 % [IMG] Good to see the PG is a good foul shooter adv hayes
Hayes 39% from three Bron 36% adv hayes
Hayes 2.2 turnovers per game Lebron 3.7 adv hayes
Lebron leads in effiency for rookies hayes is 3rd.. which is a nice stat
Hayes Leads in Wins..
Lebron is ranked 4th in the NBA in turnovers per game..
So right now they are basically even..
I think Hayes will improve his assits and his steals per game..
In the long run i want Lebron.. But if i had to pick for this year.. id take Hayes.. Just imagine if the magic would have had hayes.. a great defender and shooter, theyd prob be 8 -3

Grizzo, I want you to go here: Efficiency

Last year, I did that for the rookies who made large impacts.

Look down the list.

Is Junior Harrington a better player than Mike Dunleavy? No. But Harrington was a more efficient player. Efficiency ratings are skewed, and give the advantage to big men.

Its the comparable to the QB rating system, which is also an inaccurate guage.
