This article really disturbs me, this guy is a complete idiot. Article He lists how the lost last night was due to Yao's and Cato's terrific presence in the paint, bashes Iverson for what, for being injured?! Get a clue man! He never talks about the absence of our two starters, and barely mentions Iverson's banged up knee. On top of it all, this guy writes for The Times, who screwed that one up?
looks like we have an AI hater...he better understand that AI is playing injured most of the time...and this is just a case of too much injuries bothering him
If Iverson is hurt, he should not play. He has been killing his team the last 2 games. He still has not learned how to take over a game without scoring, and that will stop him from being an all time great.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">If Iverson is hurt, he should not play. He has been killing his team the last 2 games. He is doing the same thing this year, countless games of double-doubles in assists, and even one game with 8 steals.
I am not knocking him this season, come on now, I said the last 2 games. Sit a game or 2 and get right, or else his shooting the way he has will only hurt this team with more losses.
He has got much better, but he has got to learn that when the shot is not falling, don't keep the shooting to where you end up going 7-35. I just hold a higher standard for Iverson, because alot of people feel is is great now, I just feel he can be even better (so how scary is that?)
Most coaches say keep on shooting until it falls down, but I understand where you're coming from, 7-35 is a huge amount, and one should realize after all those shots, if they don't fall down anymore, then stop. I hold a high standard for him also, most people back in the day said he was a ball hog, that he would never give it up, and look what is happenning now. Some say that he will never go to practice, but he has proven them wrong, with Coach Ayers' help, he has started liking practice once again. All of these things and more will propel him to be a better player, a great player.
To me Iverson can change the game so much because no one can stop him with the ball. I think his best numbers can be like 23 points, 12 assists, few steals, but I don't think he wants that.
He is a shooting guard, and as good as those number seem, he has progressed at the two, let's not forget about that. You don't see a shooting guard putting up 12 assists and only 23 points. Though Coach Ayers has been playing him at the one more and more, to which I do not take the liking, as Allen is better at the two.
