<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Brad Miller pleaded for the opportunity to get his first triple-double, and Rick Adelman gave it to him. Miller had 22 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists, helping the Sacramento Kings extend the Orlando Magic's losing streak to 12 games with a 122-92 victory. During a timeout early in the fourth quarter, Miller was headed to the bench when he asked Adelman to leave him in. His 10th assist came a short time later on a pass to Bobby Jackson. "He had to beg me to stay in the game, he wanted two more assists to get the triple-double," Adelman said. "He wanted two more minutes and I told him he had three possessions. I usually don't do that. I guess he owes Bobby (Jackson) a dinner." It was the fourth straight victory for the Kings, who are unbeaten in six games at home this season and extended their Arco Arena winning streak over Eastern Conference opponents to 22 games. "We played a good game for 48 minutes," Vlade Divac said. "They are not that bad. ... After losing so many games their confidence is low." There was little suspense in this one. Benefiting from a fast start, the Kings led by 10 points after one quarter and by 16 at the half. Showing no mercy to a team concluding the fifth and final game of its road trip, the Kings opened the third quarter by making 10 of 11 shots, hiking their lead to 83-56 with 5:51 remaining. "They are a very good team, we knew coming in it would not be easy," Magic coach Johnny Davis said. "We wanted to give them more competition than we did. I thought we gave into them a little tonight." Mike Bibby made five 3-pointers and scored 21 points. Peja Stojakovic had 18 points, Bobby Jackson added 13 points, Darius Songaila scored 11 and Tony Massenburg 10. It was another evening of frustration for the Magic, who are 0-2 under Davis and haven't dropped this many games since losing 17 straight in the 1991-92 season. Tracy McGrady never got on track offensively, sitting out the final 15? minutes. He shot 6-of-17 and finished with 12 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in 29 minutes. Gordan Giricek led Orlando with 19 points, Tyronn Lue had 12, while Steven Hunter scored 11 and Andrew DeClercq added 10. "Its been a tough week, dealing with all this, the losing, the coach (Doc Rivers) being fired and all the criticism for me and the team," McGrady said. "Playing the Kings on the last game of a road trip, everyone just wanted to go home and get this over with." With the Magic determined to stay in a zone defense in the first half, the Kings used their precision passing and outside shooting to take a 60-44 lead. Bibby made four 3-pointers and had 16 first-half points and Stojakovic added 13. "They are a tough team to zone or play man-to-man," Davis said. "We wanted to keep the game close and not let them get out the gates on us in the first half."</div> Full Story Box Score
So much for that MVP Tracy McGrady was apperantly chasing... If you are a superstar on a pathetic team, you should be able to win a game or two BY YOURSELF... maybe they can buy a team to throw a game for em so they dont go 1-81.
No way will Tmac or anyone beat the Kings by themselves. Yes Tmac should have taken over and won some earlier home gamesk , but he didn't. Everyone is saying he's sucking, but he's avg 26 ppg. You have to be good if you avg 26 ppg, but you are sucking.
