P-Diddy to design new Mavs jerseys

    Tim Henning, the Mavs' director of merchandising, met with Combs and his advisers in New York over the past two days to discuss plans for the new uniforms. Formerly "Puff Daddy," Combs will design the uniforms in conjunction with Reebok. Combs designs the clothing line Sean John.

    "The fans didn't like the alternative uniforms that we came out with in LA," Henning said. "[Owner] Mark Cuban listened to the fans, and he felt like Puffy's the hottest designer right now, and that's why we decided to work with his group. He's the best."

    While the old alternative jerseys have been put out to pasture, the Mavs will start wearing their new alternative jerseys next season.

    "Puff is actually going to personally be involved in the process," Henning said.</div>

    Hmmm.. he can design casual clothes but i wonder if he'll make a good jersey. It will still look better than that other one.

    Even the jerseys will have that international feel we expect from the mavs.
