Man this guy was ridiculous, he was better than anyone ive seen in my day, more dominant than shaq and a better scorer than iverson and tmac put together. This cat could ball.

Wilt was the best he was like shaq is now only more dominant now you see little guards coming down the lane and there shaq waits, i remember watching wilt play and after one game they had an interview and he said that he was a brick wall and the little men were cars running into him. he was better than mj kareem and everybody else.

I also had to do a report on wilt a few years back i got an A to [IMG]

Is it true that there was no 3 second in the key rule, and that is how Wilt always scored - always staying in the hole? Just a rumor, might be true.

I don't think that is true but I'm not 100% sure.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Wave:</div><div class="quote_post">Are you implying that rings make a player? Some of the best players never won one ring much less two.</div>

I know this was a while back, but its true. Some of the greatest players ever have never won rings. One of the greatest 50 is Patrick Ewing, and he never won a ring. And same story with other greats.

The three-second violation was implemented after Wilt's rookie year to lessen his impact. Same year the offensive goaltending rule was implemented. Needless to say that didn't affect Wilt much as his best years were still ahead.

It should also be noted (if it already hasn't) Wilt is the only rookie to be Rookie of the Year and MVP in the same year (unless I am wrong).

    http://www.nba.com/history/awards/19591960.html

    Other facts:

    - He was responsible for the goaltending rule
    - He lead the league in assists in 1968
    - He has made 35 consecutive shots on Febuary 17-28, 1967
    - He was also responsible for the widening of the lanes and rules governing inbounding the ball and shooting free throws
    - He lost his virginity when he was 5, because he was 5 feet tall already. He has had sex with over 20,000 women, more than even Ron Jeremy and Peter North COMBINED! Woah!
    - There were like a couple minutes left when he got 100 points, he would've got more points if the ref's didn't end the game too early.

Wilt is obviously better than M.J., despite winning only 2 championships.

Yes, he is the only player in NBA history to win ROY, MVP, and a scoring champion in the same season. Nobody will do that again, at least for now.

Yeah he talked about that on the Howard Stern show in 97 I think. And when he led the league in assists in 68. Does anybody know how much he averaged?

He averaged 8.6 assists per game that year.

Oops! I was wrong, he didn't lead the league. Oscar Robertson did, with 9.7 APG, Chaimberlain was 2nd with 8.6.

If you mean by Assists per game, no. And if you mean the total of assists in one season, 99% of a chance, no. He did not lead the league in assists in any season, though he got very high on the list (number 2 in 1968 with 8.6 APG). I may be wrong, but I checked at www.nba.com/history.
