I've got DirecTV, and I have been thinking about getting the NBA League Pass. Does anyone here have DirecTV and subscribe to NBA League Pass each year, and if so, how do you like it? Is it worth the money? Anything you don't like about it? Thanks John
Had it for Comcast Digital Cable last year. Pretty cool, never find time to watch the 40 games a week lol. But still its cool seeing teams you usually dont see. It costs $180 bucks and includes the first three rounds of the playoffs, the finals are on ABC. But in January there is 1 free week of League Pass so if you dont know about buying it, see the free trial week in Jan. Its pretty tight.
I would say it depends on the person. IF you are a real hardcore, OR you have a favorite team out of your area, then it's probably worth it. If you're just a avid fan, then probably not. or you can get it bootleg, then there wouldn't be an issue...except legal, ethical and morals, etc

Yea, I can't find time to watch all the games. But of course I make time for my Lakers, don't live in LA anymore, so this is the only way to see my Lakers every night. Like me, if you have a team out of the area, than yea, you bet its worth it. I don't only buy it for Lakers either, I like watching other teams around the league when I have time, so I get its full value.

I wish I had digital cable so I could get it. That'd be nice. Get to see the Lakers play all the time would be nice. But, I think I'd have the problem also of finding time to watch a lot of the games. I already have problems finding time to watch the 6 aired Wednesday to Friday on ESPN and TNT, and than whatever Chicago games FSN airs I also try to catch. So, really, I don't think I'd need it. Especially with the NBA on ABC starting next month. I think that many games a week would be satisfying for me.

Just to let you all know its $180 or $190 for League Pass. Still its hard to keep up with all the games. The free week trial was great. Dont miss it this year. Im pretty sure it is January 6-13.
I thought about taking my $150 and going to see the Wizards twice this year with a friend of mine, and then I asked myself that philisophical and financial question: "What the heck are you thinking????". Since I was getting the MLB pass, they gave me a discount on the NBA league pass. I only catch a few minutes of some of the games but I get to see all the teams, which is awesome. Besides, what else am I going to do with my money? Give it to the needy? I don't think so.
Ok let me put it this way. NBA League Pass is for people who are willing to spend their money on it, and those who have time on their hands. (Wouldnt be me) If you are gonna buy it and only watch 3 games of the 40 in one week, you just waisted some dough. If you are one of those die-hard fans who enjoy watching every team, this program is for you.
