So...how long do you think Vinnie will be the starter in Dallas? Which of these scenarios do you see happening first? 1. Drew Henson outplays Vinnie in the pre-season and wins the job. 2. Vinnie gets hurt in the first three games and Henson replaces him. 3. Vinnie starts the 'Boys out 0-3 or 1-4 and an impatient Jerry Jones has him benched. 4. Vinnie plays the whole year and the Cowboys stink. 5. Vinnie plays the whole year and the Cowboys do reasonably well. 6. Vinnie plays the whole year and the Cowboys make the playoffs. What do you think is the most likely scenario? My money is on #2...
i will go with number 5. i think that the boys are a 10-6 team with vinnie starting and bill coaching, but washington and gibbs and eagles and reid finish better and dallas has better record than some playoff teams but does not make playoffs.
i agree with Bearsfan, it will be #5, if you remember last year Vinny had great numbers with the jets last year, in his first 8 games. The record did not show it but the defense was horrible, Martin was hurt and the jets had one good WR that was healthy, Moss. The Cowboys have a great defense, Keyshawn (him and Vinny know eachother pretty well, from back in the day when Vinny was throwing to him in a Jets uniform) also George and Jones could be solid. Vinnys #'s last year were 1385 yards, 7 TDS, and 2 INTS. that is pretty solid i think. I predict the Cowboys going 9-7 or 10-6.
Another thing to keep in mind is when key was in NY he averaged 10 tds a season, he is capable of scoring it was just tampa's two coaches not knowing how to run thier offense.
well i see a mixture of 5 and 6. they do make the playoffs but due to some big upszets on the last day. (cough cough vikings-arizona!) and they do like 9-7
Am i the only 1 who saw how bad vinnie did with the jets last year!! didnt they start like 2-5 or sumthin 1083 u can correct me if im wrong
In 7 games he threw 7 tds and only 2 ints, had a 90 qb rating(way better than mcnabb's), completed 62% of his passes and averaged 7 yards an attempt. He was not the reason they were losing.
I have to go with the general consensus here. He will most likely play the whole season, barring injury. He will do OK, but how well will depend a lot on the line and how he feels about being the starter. Henson has looked really good in camp so far though, so who knows. Carter being gone does not change my opinion of Dallas being a playoff-bubble team. I think it is a very long shot, but don't count out another QB coming into town later this preseason. A lot depends on Henson.
hello Giantsfan read my post, again he did go 2-6 i think but he had great stats. The jets were just horrible last year, look at my first post on this message
