Hey, you know what, Marion may shoot strange, but, it's got him where he is today. So, until you guys can shoot as good as him or get an NBA contract, I really don't think you can criticize his shooting ability. Cause, whatever works for him, he should stick with.
Whoa, I didn't say that either. I just said that you shouldn't criticize the way a person shoots. That's all I was trying to say. If you misunderstood that, sorry. I probably didn't put it in the greatest context anyways.
No stress, but that is what this thread is about, favorite shooting forms, so that not necessarily point to great shooters. All fun.
I love E. Boykins shot! He has to jump really high to not get blocked. I love it! I have to shoot like him beacuse i am small too!
Garnett's shot seems a little too line-drive to me, dirk and peja might have the best strokes in the game dirk's shot can look a little ugly as he goes up.. but then you watch it go in... he doesnt score 20+ a game for nothin

Condrodict yourself a whole lot.

My shot goes like, at least twice as high as my brothers and at times it seems as if it's in the air for forever. And, I tried to not shoot with such an arc, but, I just can't. Everything I shoot goes high. Free throws, 3 pointers, everything. But, it's a good thing to have I guess. Won't get the jumper blocked nearly as much.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MVPlaya:</div><div class="quote_post">Peja doesn't not have the best strokes. lol</div> he didnt win the last two 3 point contests out of pure luck... peja is a pure shooter also, i find it hard to knock someone's shot when they score 20 a game in the national basketball association.. they dont play in the nba for nothing.. hell anyone who can score in the nba has my appreciation. period.
Pejas shot is pure beauty. Same with Pierce's. They are both very similar. They bring their elbow in but the ball a little behind their head and flick it with their finger tips and palms and let that baby fly to the net. Great shot formation for Peja and PP.
I love Allan Houston (so smooth and fluid) and Derek Fisher's shooting. (the beauty of the lefty stroke bias)
The best form on a jumpshot is Mike miller, Ray allan has pretty descent one.. Jason williams has perfect form as well.
i dunno but i seem to enjoy the form of lefties...there's something in their shot formation... I like AI's and Vince's shot formation. Basically because I find it a beauty to look at especially the way they flick their bottom half a little.
I also want to add about Paul Pierce, his free throws are perfect! And I mean perfect! His follow through is amazing and looks like how I want to shoot a FT. -Being an Allen Iverson fan, I cant stand Iverson's shot formation(s). In 2001 he used to bring it to the side of his head (or ear) and looks like hes hurling it. Last year and this year he shoots with two hands. Dont believe me? Watch when he shoots (especially a 3) his hands after the shot are both up and he seems not to use a "guide hand" on the side of the ball, but instead two shooting hands.
No Doubt No doubts in my mind that Dirk has the sexiest shot. He gets so much height and when the ball splashes into the hoop it makes that magical sound of ball and net. Close in second is Ray Allen and third is Peja. However the funniest shot has to be awarded to 'Twoine. I've seen him in real life and man o' man that ball is released so quickly from his hands its as like he never touches the ball.
